So, special visitation *in no way* "waives one's right to challenge jurisdiction," which is what I think you meant to type. All that special visitation expresses is that one is visiting [appearing/attending] a Roman court *extraordinarily,* that is to say, as a matter of necessity and NOT in the ordinary course of business. In law, that is called "duress." Therefore, any "contracts" made while that _agent_ is there are "under duress" and NOT legally enforceable.

My former mother-in-law did that in divorce court. She was trying to assist her daughter (my ex-wife) in a custody battle. She could not explain why it was she thought I was not a good parent; so she started leaning back/forth on the witness stand, while staring at the ceiling and chanting "I don't want to be here" over and over again. My attorney said "No more questions" and walked away. Suffice it to say I was allowed to retain custody of the then 14-year old in question.

Idk where this was, but $2300/month for rent in Western Washington is reasonable. About 6 years ago I lived in a "low income" housing complex with my 2 kids and I was paying $2000/month PLUS utilities for a small 2 bedroom in a very old, run down apartment building in South Seattle. I know that in some places, that rent would get you a very nice place, but everything is expensive here.
