For a PS1 game from 96 they did an amazing job with the lore

General Earle was a damn good voice actor, the hacker token black guy wasn't half bad either. They kind of carry the show.. of course Metal Gear Solid a few years later would be the lead in terms of amazing voice acting in a video game. I remember playing Soviet and Nuclear Strike a crapton as a kid, and loved the games because I had Jungle Strike with my dad as a kid on Sega Genesis.

Gen. Earle was discount Ed Harris. And I love him for it.

Earle, Hack & even Andrea are all still working somewhere in Hollywood these days. Really wished they had a “Future Strike” game, as these 3 deserved a trilogy, though Moscow & Fortress Strikes missions would’ve been very hard to top.

Bill Clinton was president back when this game was released.

Kinda eerie to have security czar say that it’s an unpleasant situation when the Vice President will “play ball” if Clinton kept insisting he was fully in charge. Then a similar line was also used on Boris Yeltsin too! Makes you wonder about Gerald Ford & how other VPs came into power.

@@rlouie05 Strike: On the one hand, they work to stop wars before they ever begin but they're not just trespassing in countries they SHOULDN'T be but are also not afraid to use less than noble methods or use methods that could make a (Non-War) problem later.

The helicopter seen at 7:09 is a AH-1F Huey Cobra which was not the helicopter featured in this game as the helicopter you flew but rather a fictional version of the AH-64A Apache called the Super Apache. The AH-1F never used hellfires it used only Tow missiles.

First of all, where’s File 4? Glad I’m not the only one who got that pause after File 3. Secondly, anyone else uncomfortable about “If you don’t want to play ball, I’m sure the Vice President will”?

I'll have to look into it. This is all it played at the time of recording

Disgraced Soul File 4 opens when you finish Moscow Strike. Funny how Nuclear Strike was initially called Asia Strike by Earle, where technically all the battles were confined to mostly East Asia!

Some guides says that code was infinite armor AND double damage. I still typed in MIDNIGHOIL before this one to turn even the T-80 & havoc enemies into Swiss cheese, where the Kremlin walls were much harder to destroy than most enemies.

didnt have this game back in the day. who is the person earle reporting to? thank you to who will answer
@DisgracedSoul5 жыл бұрын
Not sure my guess would just be a 'contact' at the pentagon so there could be 'plausible deniability'

Whomever security czar is... I’m still wondering how close Mexico really got to becoming a Warsaw Pact state & how that would’ve worked.
