Soy Milk 🥛
Ingredients:
1 cup soy beans
1.5 litres water
Salt
Honey
You will need :
High speed blender
Mesh Strainer
Cheese cloth/ Mutton cloth
- Soak the bean in cold water overnight
- Clean the beans by rubbing or popping off the cover, this part is tedious but make sure you clean them as much as possible.
- Add the beans to your blender and 1.5 litres of water
- Blender for 1-2 minutes
- Use a mesh strainer to seperate the liquid from the bigger bits of the beans
- Then strainer atleast twice using a cheese or mutton cloth
Note ❗️Soy should not be consumed uncooked
- Once your milk is smooth, simmer on medium heat for 15 - 20 minutes
- Add salt and a sweetener
- Refrigerate and use within 5 days
Makes approx. 1.25 litres of soy milk
