You can use AtA missiles on the ground. There are lots of times where pilots recount using them (mostly IR missiles) to hit things on the ground, particularly in Vietnam (stories I've heard are F-102s shooting at campfires on the trail and an F-8 shooting a locomotive). The US in fact did experiments using AIM-9s, the idea being whether they could be dual-purpose weapons. I believe the results were that while it was possible the warheads of AtA missiles generally don't have enough explosive to be consistently useful against ground targets.

Because the wiki explains notching, so its the only thing most players understand lol. Fakour-90s don't turn that well. If you notch and it doesn't work perfectly, the missile is gonna hit you. So, if you get a feel for how long it takes the fakour-90 to hit you (or its close enough you still see the red diamond), just make some sharp turns when it's 5-10 seconds out. It won't keep up. If you cant get a feel for it, you're gonna wanna hit the deck (below 50M), *then* turn 90 degrees and chaffe - that's usually overkill. After you've done that for 10 seconds, just turn and fly straight. You'll usually get the missile warning long after you actually dodged it, and changing the direction at low altitude will confuse it even further anyways. Happy hunting.

@@pickle879 Turn on Radar altimeter in settings, it's 40-50m to the surface below you (if you turn it on, you can also set the distance at which it turns red, which can serve as a "you're low enough" indicator). And if you need to bob either turn to follow/stay in the dip in terrain as long as possible, or pray the missile comes when you're low and not high.
