Martin Landau and Barbara Bain were married in real life at the time the show was on. You can catch the chemistry in scenes where they are acting together. When i was a teen, watching the show, i thought of it as possible romance but 40 years later, after watching X Files Fight the Future, i looked up Martin Landau in Wikipedia.
