I loved this!!! I went to Space Academy for the week of Thanksgiving when I was in 8th grade. I think that's when the habitats were brand new. Still have my workbook! I was on EVA for the 1st mission & weather and tracking for the 2nd. I now indirectly work with NASA & I love still having that connection. Thank you Mark. I'm still considering doing the adult version 30+ year's later.

@@ProfessorWolters YAY!!! 😃 So glad to hear y'all will be coming back. I love, love, love Huntsville: it isn't too big, perfect balance of urban convenience--some of it quite upscale--with relaxed southern vibes, and has plenty of interesting things to explore and it's all readily accessible within a 30 minute drive or less! @@woltersworld so glad y'a'll got to visit Huntsville, I love living here! I second the recommendation to visit Monte Sano Mountain, and the walking trails & waterfalls across North Alabama, there are soooo many it's like finding hidden gems around here! If you do get to come back to Huntsville, be sure to check out Lowe Mill, its the largest privately owned arts & entertainment facility in America! Also go explore The Deep Comics shop (huge collection!) and Lucky Dice Café (they make great sandwiches) the antique shops (my faves are Packard's, Railroad Station, and Firehouse Antiques & Collectibles) and be sure to check out Egg Beater Jesus! 😁

A lot of fun! I went to Adult Space Academy my late 20s. Would not go to 70s (aka now)! It's very intense. The beds are horrendous and it's cold. I also went to Aviation Challenge which was fun as well. Great video brought back a lot of memories. The food was awful when I was there (better for Aviation Challenge).

I went over 20 years ago as a child, the food was mostly unremarkable except for the worst green beans I've had in my life. It's been too long to explain what was wrong with them, but I refused to eat them at all once I was home and it was very puzzling to my mother. I'll eat them today when provided but it's not something I will make on my own. The trauma lingers even when the pain has faded from memory, lol. Everything else about the trip was great and I'm thinking about going as an adult once to get the full experience.

i had a lot of fun when i visited from australia in 2019 :-) only bummer was missing out on a few activities due to my epilepsy. i could’ve done them (i only really have absence and minor seizures), but they were very VERY focused on safety whilst there. i managed to at least talk my way into the gyroscope thing, which i’m so glad i did!! also to non-americans, prepare yourself for the portion sizes. they expect you to eat three decent meals and snacks throughout each day, which was a tall order for a lot of us lmao.

To add to the first one the advanced kids start at 5 and end at 11 to 12 and academy kids start at 6 and end at 10 to 11. Also for real camps I’m sorry but in hab 1 your back will die. Hab 2 you might not want to be tall or your too tall for the bed. Also tie your shoes and have a rain jacket with or you will get soaked and you may lose your shoes (Happened to me I lost my shoe in the middle of the storms). You will most likely not take a shower except after the lake because you won’t have time. I liked the Russian day but two things 1 don’t starve yourself 2 russian day isn’t the best. Last thing is if you go to Area 51 (challenge course) YOU NEED ACTUAL TENNIS SHOES. Some kids had closed two shoe but they wouldn’t work since they had open heels, holes, or the wrong type of sole.
