An amazing band paired with an amazing mix. It doesn’t get better than this folks. TTB are keeping great music alive, their mix of r&b and blues is so unique. The soul in their sound is unmatched. Susan Tedeschi is a great writer with an unbelievable voice. Derek Trucks, well, he’s Derek Trucks. The greatest guitarist of this generation, and arguably the greatest living guitarist, never ever fails to disappoint. He’s so technically proficient and has established his unique style, truly amazing. And of course, this husband and wife powerhouse recruited some fantastic musicians to play with them. True music lives people. Listening to the radio, most people are disappointed, as am I. However, all styles and genres have their gems. I’ve only recently discovered TTB and I can’t get enough. Love from Ohio.

Allman Brothers, otiel, Warren and Derrick , what do you expect? Chemistry is unbelievable especially with two of the best guitar players on the planet. Would have loved to see nashvilles jack pearson together with Warren and skydog jr. Otiel was the perfect bass player for the Allman Brothers Band and I hope with the passing of Gregg Allman in 2017, they put together members from the ABB family because they "just dont Make em like they used to". Thiers no substitute for old school southern rock and roll period!!

It is interesting and amazing, really, how a few notes of music, in this particular case Chris Stainton's opening piano notes to "Space Captain," the Matthew Moore hit from Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen, can transport us through time to replicate the same emotion and depth of raw AWE we felt when we first heard it, if it is impactful and awesome enough. I'm 61 and the opening piano notes to this song transported me back to age 12 when the Mad Dogs & Englishmen album technically, Joe Cocker's, (but we know it was also Leon's and Friends) dramatically changed the way I looked at music and life. This was mainly due to Leon Russell and his spectacular band he gathered and the work he did arranging Cocker's tour, but Cocker gets some of the cred as a fantastic showman! I still am so grateful to hear Tadeschi Trucks Band so I get all the lyrics for the first time with their version! (Must've been the British accent... ) What changes did one album begin in a 12 year old's life? Musically, I tossed all the bobby sherman posters and archived his records as I wallpapered my room in Leon Russell and friends. Life-wise, I realize the topics of such bubblegum music so popular with my peers were strictly distracting me from growth as a human being and I made a commitment to be more compassionate and look out for my fellow man and woman because "they might be the Prince of Peace returning." (See Leon's blue album "Prince of Peace." Great to see Chris is still trucking and wish I could've seen his face. Love that band! Thank you!
