Where are you getting these numbers at 6:00? 5.2 mbps would give a throughput of only 0.056 TB per day. It would take almost 500 days to transfer 28 TB of data at that speed.

Except the VLA is not used for spacecraft communication and the truly horrible animation at 1:30 shows a spreading signal originating at the "pointy end" of the antenna where the whole purpose of the dish is focusing the signal emitted at the horn toward the dish into a parallel beam that is directed at the remote spacecraft (except, again, no, the VLA antennas do not transmit).

Update your video content, the Mars orbiter which you showed was the first satellite to reach Mars which was launched by ISRO. Mention that while talking about NASA and SPACEX. Also India communicated with Mars orbiter through its own Deep Space Network and many more countries have their DSNs now.

The first time I got on the Deep Space Network (anyone can see it online!); I got a sense of vertigo.... just knowing about all of these man made objects talking to to us from so far away. The first two signals I saw were Voyager and Cassini. Unreal!

And just now I was able to understand through this video. At least now, I have another one question in my mind that I won't have to think about anymore. Hehe 😅 Nowadays, if you don't know about stuff and just lay around doing nothing to figure it out.. You're most likely to end up learning nothing. This generation is very lucky to have various platforms of learnings like this channel. Ironically, No matter how advance our technology is ( way of communications, transportation etc) it seems that the humanity still hasn't grasped what's its like to live in one planet im harmony. Some took advantage of it and build their own hierarchy system. The developing countries are stagnant at some point. Even health care is not affordable. 😔It's sad but its the truth. So if you're a human living in poverty you wouldn't really care about these stuffs but maybe if given a chance that they gain stability they'll also wonder what's beyond our planet... So yes.. Now I wish I'm an alien instead, can't wait for my mother ship to arrive and take me 😭

cool video.. especially about DSN (Deep Space Network) Antenna to Voyager1 space probe (Deep Space Satellite). The DSN need should be larger in the future from 70m diameter to reach the signal from Voyager1, as it is running away more far away from earth.

I have a doubt how do the high gain satlight transmitter know the exact direct of earth in space and send the data in that perticular direction of example he could have send the raya in totally opposite direction of earth or in any direction other than that.
