Space Crew Update - Difficulty Settings

Runner Duck have announced they are working on an update for Space Crew, which will allow adjustment of various settings, according to your preferred difficulty.

I love their games! I just wish the space ship looks better and sleeker. It looks like a brick with windows and guns. Also wish future DLC would have different ships with diff number of crew members and diff class ships

There's nothing wrong with a space brick, Cmdr. These flying bricks can keep up with the rest of those sleeker ships out there... Or just smash into them and incur less of a bill in Hull repairs.

If you grind the low risk missions, you can end up not losing a crew or a ship the whole game. At least I didn't lose my ship.(I've completed 50-55 missions) I also wish you could chose different styles of ship (Enterprise D, X-wing, Original, Millenium Falcon, and USS Enterprise)

Agreed about the different kinds of ships, and I learned the hard way about grinding earlier missions. Unfortunately, most of the play I did was on stream, and I worry constantly about boring people by repeating the same missions. But you are quite right. Thanks for watching.

I don't think I'll be tweaking too many settings. The game is JUUUSST on the slightly too difficult side, so I'll pick maybe ONE of the things they've added, and adjusting the difficulty down to casual is definitely too easy.

i stayed in the our Solar system upgraded my ship then moved on. Beat it no crew lost until finale. The amount of waves that come on medium jeez. i go stealth to fix and recharge my shield. oh when i get boarded i purge hahaha. Also my ship's name is the Normandy with the N-7 colors. Whats yours?

Lol. My ship's name is the U.D.F. FIASCO. Yeah, I almost always purge when I'm boarded. It's hilarious, but you really have to watch your crew closely (especially the rear gunner) to make sure they don't get up, after being shot, just before the purge countdown ends. That's happened to me a couple of times. And yeah, I use Stealth, Evasive, and Recharge shields when my shields go down. If I keep them on rotation like that, I always have one of them charged and ready to use, to get me out of a tight spot.

I got Space crew 1.0.2 on switch and I can't update to 1.1... Is it a known issue ?

What you say is it's easy for me. I agree with you but you have to remember not everyone finds it as easy as some do. It's an opinion.

its not hard my issue is how long it takes me to kill just a few enemies some weapons just straight up miss most shots

@@ayderla789 yeah you have to level up your gunners and eventually train two others that you use as gunners to be the same if that's what you want to do. As they level up their accuracy will increase. I agree though they struggle if I'm not using focus fire early on when you get that skill.

Heads up to anyone on Switch!!! This update never came out on Switch. There is no way to change the difficulty on Switch. I bought the game and did not check to see if the update came out for Switch. Wasted my money

You should think yourself lucky I went in and changed the settings. KZbin wanted to put EIGHT ads in this short video... EIGHT!! All my videos have far fewer ads in than KZbin wanted to put in them. It hurts my revenue, but I like to strike a balance between my needs and the viewer's needs. Also... a recent change to KZbin's TOS means that soon ALL videos will have commercials, whether their channel is monetized or not. I appreciate that you are angry about it, but I can promise you... nobody is as angry as the content creators. We hate it that we are getting less and less of a share, while YT are driving the number of ads higher and higher. I am already planning a long-term goal to get me off this increasingly greedy platform, but until then... I have to put ads in I'm afraid. Sorry about that. Please complain to KZbin about it. We ALL want to see it changed.

Sorry about the comment, I guess I got increasingly frustrated by watching YT on my phone, I usually watch on PC with 2 add blockers. The comment just happened to land on your video, that's a poor excuse but sorry again if it got you frustrated as well. Google monetization got way too aggressive, it's like they are forcing you to subscribe. We are all slaves to the advertising, selling our attention to the highest bidder. We need to draw the line somewhere or it's gonna turn ugly at some point, if not already.

@@bstajic No worries. I understand the frustration completely. We, as content creators are pretty pissed off as well. The number of ads is just crazy now! And it won't help them in the end. It's driving content creators insane because the worst combination of things is now happening... our videos are covered with ads, but we're seeing less and less revenue from it, because it's forcing more people to install ad blockers to get rid of them. Believe me, I don't blame the viewers in any way at all.

Quite funny in a way But uh dare I ask your opinions on what's changed now that you've got your hands on it? Also edit because I forgot to say thanks for your amazing review on the game as well, tis what got me to buy it seeing that it wasn't just a reskinned clone. @@Nitro_Blitzen Thank you very much. I haven't played it since the update, as I'm supposed to be taking my first week off all year, lol. My feeling is that even the slightest tweak to the difficulty would make the difference between limping home with one less crew member, and exploding in space, losing the ship and everyone aboard. I don't think I'd ever use the casual setting, but I would use the extra crew member. As for the other changes? I honestly don't know yet, but I've heard good things.
