You're piloting skills on that YUUUUUGE starship are wonderful! The way you were doing that pattern and only got hit about 20% of the time was beautiful! I'm thinking that you should add heavy armor plating around your thrusters, guns, and conveyors would really be of benefit to you. Additionally, remember that your ship has increased in mass as well as size, so perhaps adding some additional thrusters would be prudent. That all being said, you were able to pull off those maneuvers so well! Great episode!!!

I think it was more luck than skill but thanks for the compliment 😀 Heavy armor would certainly slow down the damage but it does add **a lot** of weight, i'm trying to use the 'run away' tactic however as a result i'm running out of things like magnesium fast. really need to find a better way of capturing !

I was going to suggest the same thing as @thedadinator1890 re the projector. Also just a thought about protecting those solar panels when they are folded away, you could put some hangar doors in the hull that extend outwards to create a bit of a shield should the need arise ...again. The hangar doors take a lot of steel, but I think are quite strong.

Man, you took a real beating from that assault cannon. You *may* have been able to use the ships thrusters while you were in camera view... Odd that you couldn't rotate... Well, you answered that question. Not main cockpit. lol.

Yup, i didn't realise if you set a main cockpit it excludes all other cockpits ! Is that new ?

That was a hell of a shot against the reaver that was chasing you! Glad you finally put a gyro on the decoy to keep it flying in a straight line.

You may want to put in a large projector and keep an updated blueprint of the ship to aid in quick rebuild.

It looked to me like maybe your gatlings were not set 800m. I thought the Reaver was close enough for them at one point, but they never opened up.

That's certainly possible although i do usually max them as i build them.

You might want to armor block behind the hinge so a reaver doesn't lucky shot the solar arrray into disarray.

Yes thank you for the correction. I realised after they must've been something else due to the range, figured maybe railgun or assault cannon but arties also have good range 👍

Yes, heavy armor on your "bubble butt" would help, especially since you'll likely continue to be using the same strategy of evading, and having the rear of the ship targeted the most. You missed repairing/replacing one of the corridor blocks around an Ion thruster in the rear (Starboard side). The Gyro on the decoy seems to have fixed the straight trajectory issue. That Reaver was likely messaging his buddies "Meat is back on the menu, boys!" and then was promptly disappointed when it turned out to be just a decoy. Armor blocks (maybe heavy?) to protect around the base hinges of the solar array might help, and maybe build some armor around the sg 2nd layer if there's room. Better to look a bit wonky than to be easily shot off.

I did see that passage way after recording thanks. Gyro definitely made a difference, yep i reckon they would not have meat for supper ! I'll look into the heavy armor though it might be tricky to do the block the hinge connects to without replacing the hinge (again).

​@@MozoTyce1 Sloped blocks on 3 sides of the main hinges (except the direction it folds down) would add some protection too. Could probably do the same around the sg hinges between the rows.

Yup that was my first thought too, however with having two connected hinges i think i could also replace the main block... we'll see ;)
