If your hinge is not set for max/min distance, when you close it it is still trying to push down. Then when you activate the merge block your invoking Klang. You can also try adding hinge lock to the timer before it activates the merge block.

The hinge is at the min when closed, and I did try to hinge lock it when it is shut, but still not successful. Only when I shifted the items to the other cargo it balanced out.

@@PandemicPlayground Did you try to detach the hinge head after merging, it usually solves the problem for me? Also when you need to open, just switch the merge block off, attach the hinge head and reverse it. It is better to put the timers do the work :D

@@PandemicPlayground You can also put the rotor on a piston and do the same with the rotor head, that way you can make the cockpit door slide when it opens/closes doesn't matter the direction, just make sure to have enough rotor displacement when attaching/detaching :D

Your piston or hinge is probably generating phantom forces when the cockpit lid merges. When you add enough weight to the rear it acts up enough for you to notice. Probably turn down the strength to the hinge and piston so they are only strong enough to manage the cockpit lid and turn them off when the two grids merge.

If the rover had four wheels instead of six, you could name it ‘The Croc’ or ‘The Gator’. As for the mentors, if you take them off, a way to keep the challenging aspect of it add the hostel instillation mod. Also a interesting challenge that came to mind while watching this series. You know how on some serves the remove thrusters, so you can only craft rovers. Imagine do something similar on this planet but inverse, to where everything must fly if it is to move or do it in some creative way.

I like the meteors, but feel free to turn them to a lower setting. I like that they provide additional resources, but it's up to you. Sweet Rover.

I think the meteors don't really add much to the game. They aren't a challenge: easy to shoot down. They just create a mess.

I think that might be Clang. Suggest you make sure the lower limit on the piston isn't making the piston put forces on the grid in a silly way. Really cool rover, nice job!

Someone else covered the loss of a hinge and horizontal piston so i wont mention that, but i will say that you couldve made the drill rig a but cheaper for yourself by grinding the rotor head and replacing it with a small rotor head and using small grid drills. They do the same work as a large grid drill, but are much cheaper

About the drill rig setup.. in my humble opinion... I think you're limiting yourself by not having a hinge and then a piston attached horizontally after the conveyor block. This way you could swing the drills left and right as well as in and away from the storage container. There-by maximizing your resource gathering.

Maybe you ought to take inspiration from backhoe like trying to make like a front drill system you can attach and detach or make a drill arm you can attach and detach like a backhoe arm. P.s. I like your Rover design

Great Job on the rover build, you should look at the DAS script or driver assistant script, just need to install a remote control and a program block, it is amazing for any type of rover build. I use it on all my rovers now, it has helped with all of the random issues that can plague rovers. It may help with the jumping issue with the merge block, I have a merge block on the side of a rover and one on the rear of another rover and neither have this issue. But my wheel base is a little longer also.

Sharing inertia tensor can cause grid rotation when in use. If it's on try turning it off.

I think that piston is summoning klang. Thats just my guess on why its trying to flip the rover when you merge. I never have problems with hinges. But Pistons..... Pistons have klang on speed dial

The assertive cargo ships with ravial AI sends drones. As well as assertive installations when they go into war mode

The suit has climate control systems to protect from that. More extreme temp drains power faster. Run out of power and you do take damage from temp.

@@PandemicPlayground no. I think it should be allowed. Whatever impacts Pertam is fair game. That's why I think you should leave Armageddon mode on with the meteors.

A cool system but not something I would use myself. Too prone to clang for my tastes. Not even so much in regular use but I can see issues when somethings gets damaged.

I just tried that kind of cockpit on large grid, i turned the merge block off, and reversed the hinge, but the hinge didn't move And none of the other blocks are connected to eachother

Are the blocks on your hinge too heavy? Try removing a bit of blocks until it moves.

Hinge on lock? Some blocks still to heavy? Or you might actually be merged into the grid some how. Could be something that you don't notice.
