They should just remake the entire thing. There's a whole manga that goes with this that's completely unadapted. In this video I cover an cute anime about a family of traveling space aliens that raise an cute human girl. Space family carlvinson is a slice of life anime about family, & mark's doga kobo's first OVA. Kenny lauderdale also breaks down the manga series & it's connections to modern anime. Less of an anime review & more of a series overview & look into a comedy anime you should probably watch. Basically the Cutest Anime Ever made. I wish it got a full series. It's so relaxing.

Not only is the shape-shifting dog alien named "John Carpenter", he's also a filmmaker with a passion for gross-out body horror movies. And, in his second spot-light story in the manga, we learn he has a friend, another shape-shifting dog alien, named John Landis.

The USS Carl Vinson is an active duty Aircraft Carrier deployed in 1980. It's a Nimitz Class Carrier, but the most famous ship of the class is the USS Ronald Reagan. The USS Carl Vinson is actually the ship that dumped Osama Bin Laden's body into the ocean. I used to work for a company that sold to the Navy and we worked with Supply Officers with the USS Carl Vinson. Some of the sales people were pretty excited to go over to it when it returned to port. I can't say I've been on it myself I have driven right by it a few times.

I want to thank you for rekindling my love of anime that's been dead for almost a decade. I'm a kid of the 80s that grew up in Hawaii so I was pretty steeped in Japanese culture. I dunno what happened that made me fall out of love with it in the early 2000s, I think it was switch to digital paint over traditional cel art styles and the proliferation of certain character and story tropes that I found immature and hackneyed. Watching these videos of anime that I never saw as a kid, I felt for the first time in years "I really want to watch this series!". Thank you, it really means a lot.

That's one thing about sci-fi that really bugs me. 95% (or more) of all aliens are just humans with different colored skin or things attached to their head. There are shows that I still have on my growing list and you helped remind me of some classics that have completely changed how I view anime and pop culture. There are layers to this that only you can ever seem to peel back and I find this strange love story between Western and Eastern productions that all seem to reference each other in the most tongue and cheek way.

The USS Carl Vinson is a supercarrier that my dad rounded the world on back in the 80s before he turned 21. Might have to show him this anime Btw I've heard of it

I'm an instant fan of your channel. I've been vaguely aware of quite a few older shows by name, but you've been picking up stuff that I've never heard of. It's a wonderful breath of fresh air in these times where there's so much emphasis on the seasonal shows. I follow seasonal shows, but I always like to go back and watch older stuff I haven't seen yet. I've yet to really go back and watch much from the 80's, but I've been planning on watching a bunch of older obscure stuff because there are tons of hidden gems out there. It's a shame so many of them are nearly impossible to get a hold of though.

First I thought you were milking the algorithm by talking about show with character called Corona, but this was actually uploaded before the epidemic. I came across Canadian/British cartoon called Captain Star, that I used to watch as a kid. My apetite for fun space-setting has been bugging me, thanks for covering this.

I'd love to see a video about Gokudo/Jester the Adventurer. It's an "action" adventure comedy that as far as I know, is pretty obscure. I watched it 8 years ago on a streaming site, and a few years back, found the complete box set for 5 bucks at an FYE. It was a huge shocker that nobody snagged it by then, since it was so cheap and had like, 7 discs. It is incredibly similar to Inuyasha in character design and plot. It can be quite funny at times.

Studio Doga Kobo did this? I thought they started doing all this school slices of life with Myself Yourself back in 2007, and then the crappy otaku pandering they usually do with New Game, Gabriel's Dropout and Himouto. This one looks neat and very light hearted I will check it out. Great content as always.

Great video as always Time to go watch this. looks super cute, and the art & design's looking charming as hell. I think they hit the right balance here where a character immediately puts a smile on your face when you see it.

KZbin suddenly recommend this video to me, I was wonder why until I see the name Corona. And awesome review man, have a subscribed. I really love this kind of story about different species forms a bond like family to protect or even raise a child not belong to their races. Thanks for sharing.

I was stationed on the air craft carrier Carl Vinson 70. There’s duty stations in Japan. The created was probably like “oh cool ship” but who knows. It was exhausting working on one of those ships. Glad I’m no longer doing stuff like that.

Thanks for the recommend. Someone actually did upload it to KZbin all the way back in 2009, and the party pooping system hasn't found it yet. Corona is very cute and I agree with those saying she would have worked out in the 2010s. Having said that, given the way a lot of iyashi and slice of life shows are animated these days (that is, with a lot of still frames), we might have gotten more moving Corona out of those 45 minutes than she would have gotten from a 2010s one-cour. @4:57 Oh, and I remember this "basic science for kids" comic series. I actually used to have 4 books in the Chinese version, so it is "Asia-only" but not Japan-only.
