Space Fishy on Shimakaze (World of Warships: Legends Xbox SX)

I'm really enjoying Space Fishy, my IJN DD commanders were fairly low 7L1 so it didn't hurt me too much to push fishy up to 12L2 with Bey/Sims for the yukikaze. I love the screaming meaney torps lol think I'm sitting at 85knts atm. I've slowly been branching fishy to other torp boats like fubuki experimenting but it's such a different playstyle since I primarily used twist and track to do cap denial against gunboats. Once in the swing of it though it's been pretty impressive. Not worth replacing a leveled Tanaka, but definitely a solid option if picking a first to push pass 7-8.

"Do you want to invest in a whole new commander" And that right there Hipper is why I couldn't be bothered with Fishy. My Takeo is rank 16 legendary 2 and I hated the thought of using more resources just to get basically the same commander with with slighter faster torp speed to the same level. Especially since I haven't been playing much recently.

I think Space Fishy is best suited to a Bey/Atago set up. The speed is really nice but 16% extra range on the 8km torps feels better than 16% on the 10km torps. If the Gearing had an option to swap out the 16km torps I would too. 10km or close to it sees to be the sweat spot and anything higher than that can easily be traded for speed.

Ended up in the same game as you yesterday. You were playing the eugen and got 3 dev strikes, dindnt notice it was you until the 2nd bb you yolo torped. I really hope that ends up being a video

You miss out on stacking the speed boosts from the consumable and “destroy or be destroyed” perk. This stacking is great for early positioning or a crucial reposition later. This is the dealbreaker for me with this build.
