So if you watch the whole scene here they really make fun of my home state of Oklahoma, which I thought was hilarious considering our recently former senator Jim Inhofe wrote an entire book on climate change denial. Really accurate depiction of Oklahoma I'm afraid. In real life it isn't AOC that is in the party that frequently partakes in denying science to please big business. And almost everyone in congress always votes on any Defense Authorization Spending bill with near zero scrutiny no matter their side of the political aisle. I guess to some it might be strange to scrutinize ever increasing military spending, but I think that's part of a functional democracy.
