Josiah Kaminski I’ve had discussions with psychonauts before on reddit (this one was probably was a closet hindu because he was talking about Brahman, but a lot of them have religious undertones) and he made the claim that people choose to suffer to “experience everything”, and that the universe subjects itself to suffering because only experiencing good would limit your total experience. Well, isn’t that just wonderful, nothing like the “one consciousness” giving people the illusion they are separate individuals only to have them be slowly chopped up to pieces in some feudal lord’s dungeon (and if reincarnation is true that will eventually happen to everyone), or to give a jewish person the illusion of individuality only to have them suffer and die at the hand of the Nazis. I notice a trend with these kinds of people, they all tend to be over privileged, self important, egotistical and narcissistic suburban people who have never had to deal with any serious issues in their life, they just took drugs and anthropomorphize their current belief on their drug induced hallucinations. I could never think of walking up to a starving child in africa and telling them “Hey man, you chose this to happen! It’s Karma! It’s a good thing you are suffering!”. They try to paint a picture of being peaceful loving people but in a lot of ways they are even worse than a lot of open out there fascists, any god or entity (even if it’s this one consciousness) that let’s any suffering endure and does nothing to stop it is a piece of shit. Nobody should have to suffer like that, and the worse part about all of it is people try to rationalize it in their minds so that “God is trying to teach you something”. If we as human beings recognize that suffering is wrong and we want to do everything to eliminate it (as a lot of Transhumanist do) then a spiritual deity, let alone god, should be on the same page as us.

@JRexRegis3 жыл бұрын
@@olio795 The wheel is about ~700 years older than the oldest pyramids, and a round 1000 years older than the ones at giza. And even if they didn't use wheels per se, they used something based on a similar and just as effective principle: Logs of wood, carved in such a way that they would be perfectly straight and smooth. The block of stone was placed onto around 20 of these logs, then slowly dragged over them by either a legion of slaves or a domesticated animal. As the stone moved, the logs would be collected from behind it and placed at the front, creating a very primitive conveyor belt.
@yoosh90343 жыл бұрын
JR Idk sounds pretty unlikely I think it was probably aliens actually
@bashbashfulsson45403 жыл бұрын
@@JRexRegis It was in fact log rollers! Modern research suggests it wasn't legions of slaves but legions of willing farmers looking for work outside of growing and harvesting seasons. Records from the time suggest it was viewed a bit like a pilgrimage, but these workers were given a modest wage and basic food and board. As for the logs used to move the stones, Egypt has always been poor in wood but rich in other resources, so the Egyptians had to use their great mineral resources to purchase wood from neighbouring nations. With regards to the wheel, the Egyptians had simple cranes and treadmill-driven circular saws. I don't understand why, but people like Jordan seem to immediately buy that all ancient myths are perfectly accurate, but the ancients themselves were as dumb as rocks. Human brains haven't changed much at all in the last few thousand years, and while we know a lot more facts now, we aren't inherently more intelligent than they were. Given how smart some people are these days, it's no surprise that ancient peoples were able to leverage copper tools and logs and ropes to create incredible wonders.
@JRexRegis3 жыл бұрын
@@bashbashfulsson4540 true! Honestly, what we today consider slavery isn't really applicable for most ancient civilisations. In rome, for example, slaves had almost as many rights as free men (except they couldn't leave obviously), because lots of them basically contracted themselves out. There were limits on their service, they had protection from abuse, and they got a piece of land at the end, like soldiers did. Still slavery, but orders of magnitude less horrific than the transatlantic slave trade. Same with egypt, like you said - building the pyramids was often considered an honor, as it was believed that those who helped the pharaoh ascend to godhood would be rewarded also. I do think they used prisoners, however, to do a lot of the heavy lifting alongside draft animals.

I was super into spirit science when I was younger. Can 100% confirm he made a prediction about 2012. He says 2012 is the level up moment where humanity goes blind for 4 days and becomes stronger. Basically all of the universe was meant to jump up in consciousness.
