I really wish Marvin the Martian had more to do in this movie, since they gave him the shaft after his first appearance. Having him help during the final parts of the game would've been great, as well as an interesting play on how Bill Murray came to the rescue in the first Space Jam when Marvin as the referee stated the Tune Squad needed a fifth player.

Yeah he was shafted after his second slam of the space ship ramp I was hoping he would come back with vengeance. Perhaps using that super suit toy that was sold at Walmart. If you look at the concept art of Foghorn Leghorn at 2:41, you can see that he is wearing the fox from the short "Fox Pop" (1942) around his neck. A neat little detail!

I definitely agree with the majority of Pepe and by extension Penelope shouldn't have been cancelled. I'm a little confused why Marvin the Martian wasn't a Tune Squad player in Space Jam 2. I kinda understand why he wasn't in Space Jam 1. Monstars invaded the Looney Tunes world and threatened to abduct them if they lose. And alien abduction is Marvin's shtick. So him being the referee in the 1st movie made sense, he's neutral between the Looney Tunes and Monstars abducting them In Space Jam 2, he was mostly used as comedy relief (but it's Looney Tunes, literally all characters are comedy relief) Marvin should've been a Tune Squad player and I dunno maybe Bugs could've convinced/conned him to go to other WB world's to collect rare "specimens" when really he was getting all the Looney Tunes back together, similar to the way he did with LeBron

From the looks of things, this original cut would’ve made the movie a lot better. Plus, Pepe getting a lesson on consent would’ve been a lot better than getting rid of him. He’s an important part of the Looney Tunes family and without him, things just aren’t the same. Stupid moral guardians!

The problem is that the woke don't like any portrayal of things that offend them, even a negative one. Hence why overtly anti-racist books like Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and To Kill a Mockingbird are banned for "racism" and "Baby It's Cold Outside," which features a woman choosing to defy 1940s sexual norms despite her fear of being slut shamed, is banned for promoting "rape culture."

I would've liked to have seen more background tunes characters in general. Sam and Ralph, Petey puma, Cecil turtle, etc. Marvin in the tune squad would've been great, too. Also would be cool to see Daffy play, he didn't really do much in the movie as a whole.

Penelope needs more love and representation. The first time I see her talk in Carrotblanca, I thought they actually made her grew into a more independent character and I like it. Alas, she just ended up being lost in obscurity once again. This is such a wasted opportunity for her. Also, make some new contents for her to engage with and she does not always need Pepe Le Pew's presence when she's on-screen.

To be honest, I really think it was Just timing that Cut pepe's appearance, and I think the Reason they cut Penelope was they didn't really quite understand what do with them. I mean Pepe isn't even my favorite character, but If you look from Penelope's point of view, I think the whole Dynamic is actually quite tame and shouldn't cause all this Controversy. I agree with some other Comments, this movie's History of development is quite interesting. I'm actually quite disappointed this movie turned out the way it did. I mean just searching up Space Jam review Virtually all of them Are negative, "Its trash" "Horribble" "A two-hour Advertisement", And I can't help but think if this movie had a bigger potential to be something great. Im not gonna lie I haven't seen the Original space jam but I was quite excited to see this movie judging from trailers, and because of all these Review titles online and On KZbin just Discerns me from wanting to watch this Movie. Goddamnit I freakin Love the looney tunes, And this movie definitely could have been something great if it focused more on them and less on Making a buck.

Every time you see The Mask in the crowd shots he’s wearing a referee uniform hinting that at some point t he was supposed to be the referee but had his role cut to just a background cameo

@@johnstone3392 Elmer, Sam and Gossamer were antagonists, but they weren't evil and thus not true villains. The problem is that there isn't always consistency between different films/series. In Baby Looney Tunes, for example, Marvin appears in an episode where all the kids except Taz shun and tease him because they think he's weird, but then accept him when they realize he's a genius who can fix all their broken toys and the like. It had a nice lesson about accepting people who are different, which was refreshing because most of Marvin's appearances in the main series u sually send (if anything) the opposite message. More recently, in Looney Tunes Cartoons, Daffy's screwball status from the 1940s (before his transformation by Chuck Jones into the grumpy, greedy, egotistical jerk he's been in most iterations since) was brought back, with some elements of the Jones Daffy for good measure. But in Space Jam: A New Legacy, we mostly see the jerk Daffy, with only a slight nod to the screwball years as they get ready to go out for the second half and he goes, "woo-hoo, woo-hoo!" So the fact that they'd tone down Elmer, Sam and Gossamer in the film is hardly a surprise.

Marvin should have came back with vengeance after being Digitized and then slammed again with the spaceship. he then could have used a controller that brought his giant super suit to life (a new Space Jam toy that was sold at Walmart) after trying to smash Bugs and the others on the court the basketball could have bounced into the hoop helping the Tunes win a bunch of style points. Because Marin is a Looney Tunes character it counts causing all the Tunes and crowd to cheer for Marvin thus calming his anger and having him join the team for the rest of the movie till the end. Also another change I would added was have Bugs pretend to be dying of deletion at the end hamming it up only to then shout his last words. “Duck season!” Having Elmer Shoot At Daffy with Daffy yelling “you’re despicable!!”, Bugs then steps on Taz’s foot, honks Sam’s nose, and slams Marvin’s helmet down thus running off being chased by them all happy that the Looney Tunes are being Tunes all together again as Sylvester chases Tweety, Coyote the Road runner, Taz spinning around. Lola rolls her eyes porky gasps, foghorn laughs etc. I think that would have been a better fit for the ending. Still having Bugs come back to see LeBron at the end but perhaps to rerun something to him. Tune Jersey, sneaker or something else. Maybe he got there with the help of Pete who now runs the cyberverse. Have the same ending then. But I woulda like a post credits scene. At least animation for Porky’s “that’s all folks!”

agree my friend 😁 And i have my own changes of the final act is that after Bugs immediately 100% deleted and can't manage to get the slam dunk, there's a mysterious storm come in and it was reveal to be Chuck Norris himself aka the original creator of Bugs Bunny. And this is also means without Bugs Bunny, the WarnerBros Universe will be malfunction and and decreased it's existence until it back to normal if Bugs revived. And Chuck Norris was 100% pissed and he teach the Goon Squad a lesson for that and destroy the main villain of the film including his assistants for deleted Bugs. And not only just that, all of the crowds at the court including LeBron's family running away from the chaos. Chuck Norris grabs those two host of the basketball toroment of torture and say a warning about Bugs leading the two host agree and run away. And after all of chaos, Chuck Norris immediately reverse the basketball time and tell Marvin to having a chance to slam a dunk with his robot and the Tunes Wins!!! And Bugs was revived and the WarnerBros Universe back to normal and all of the crowds except LeBron's family back to the world where they were. And Lebron, his family, the Goon Squads, the Tunes including Bugs back to the Looney Tune world. Chuck Norris glad he can manage right on time to save the universe or it will gone forever and he warning to Bugs and the Tunes including Lebron James never treat Marvin like that again at the movie. The Goon Squad was paranoid about Chuck Norris existence and one of them said "it's look like a punishment by Gods", Chuck Norris calm them down and saod how they existed back in the first place. And it turn out they were made by the villain of the film and they didn't know which World they should need to stay after the villain's defeat, then Chuck promotes the Goon Squad as a part of the Looney Tunes world and they are happy and they should not to do anything bad again. Thus Chuck talk to LeBron James (who was have no words because he at the front of Chuck who look like a god of WarnerBros) and said remember before you act and shall need to happily owns a family. And LeBron's son was hyped and the family just silents because of Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris just straight up give them cash and his signature. James then said: "why they got gives while i got lessons?" thus Chuck said: "Because they are your family and their gives was also included your things. Sharing is caring, right Bugs?", Bugs then say: "Yeah......if i asked a permission to Marvin to borrow his spaceship back in the first place and the moral broken because of my behavior, right Chuck?". Marvin who was furious: "Ou, you rabbit i gonna shoot you up for a lesson so the moral shall no broken" the he chase Bugs and use his raygun, Bugs who was running said:"Help, Chuck Norris!!! He gonna turn me to ashes!!!", Chuck's opinion:"this is Looney Tunes World, everyone can survive from anything". Then everyone laugh at it then........ Chuck wandering where's Penelope and Pew. Ans directly right on time two of them manage went to the World and Penelope tiredly said: "what's going on at here?". The Pepe said: "it's that Chuck Norris!??". Chuck said: "You two, where are you been in this movie?" Then flashback to the Cartoon Network world and it contains all of CN characters including Tom and Jerry who was having a rest at the beach. Penelope was at the beach relaxing while Pepe on the other hand trying to find the way with her, the Pepe use the device that teleport to the LT world but fails because there's a barrier surround the world. And of course all of CN characters noticed it including Penelope and Tom and Jerry shock the fact they all can't go to random world again and worried about all of the things. And then it turns out the villain of the film was responsable for this to prevent Bugs recruits Pepe that leads the game easier and Penelope mistaken as a skunk. And somewhat Uncle Grandpa with his creator appears from the glitched portal thus the portal exploded. And UG losed all of his abilities and said said that the villain was responsible for all the problem amd fell asleep. Still long, i just stop typing at here for the while

I was looking through the film's Concept Art and I found something that looks cool. It shows Bugs, LeBron James and Gossamer in The Flintstones world. I guess Gossamer was originally going to be in Bedrock with Fred Flintstone and Company instead of being on a Scooby-Doo World in the Graphic Novel version! I recently found out about it.

The only, and I mean ONLY major problem I've had with this movie is that Al G Rhythm clearly has some deleted backstory that was barely subtext in the final film. He clearly has father issues, which made him a kinder spirit to Dom, as if he was a real person who programmed the Warners online service, and his father never took kindly to him being a computer programmer. But the thing that confused me was why did he hate the Looney Tunes so much? He kept mentioning how outdated they were, like there was supposed to be some scene where he had a bad history with the characters. It reminds me of what happened with the 2011 The Muppets movie where Tex Richman had an actual reason for wanting the destroy the Muppets Studio. Except, more frustratingly, it was mentioned in 20 seconds of a song that the untalented moron doing the editing cut out. 20 seconds! Without the context, Tex Richman came off as generic rich bad guy who's only bad because he wants to buy up something that only had value to him at that point. And you had to buy the soundtrack to get that revelation.

I can see it in that context as the newest character to be featured in the movie is 25 years old, but it seems deeper than that for the character. We all know the characters are constantly updated, one of the Easter Eggs was a photo of Yosemite Sam from the "Moostache" song from The Looney Tunes Show hanging in the Barber Shop set, so there's not too much benefit of doubt I can put there. There seems that there's some deleted scene or original draft of the script that explains why Al wanted the Looney Tunes split up. The disapproving father aspect of the character and transferring that kind of abuse on the Goon Squad and Dom, as well as the wanting respect and conflating it with fear and intimidation at least has subtle subtext that can be picked up on. There's a history and hatred of the characters that would have fleshed out the motives more. I can see something like the WB executives forcing him to put the LT on everything on the site, and that getting to him.

I have a feeling that there were many more deleted scenes, I would have liked the recruitment to have been longer and that they had to go to each world to see which Tunes they chose (and that there would be short secondary Looney Tunes scenes giving a clue as to which world the Looney Tunes are main, so you can show more worlds) also I have a feeling that originally they were going to have Cartoon Network characters because there is a video that they say they would bring some characters from a series to the team (Maybe it was that the tune Squad won a player in the middle of the game and this one does something and then leaves) but in the end there was none (which is a shame since I thought there was a world and characters, but sadly the closest ones are the Ttgo posters that not even them. They are 100% CN). I follow that we must demand a version similar to Snyder with the Justice League, that it be longer, that the looney tunes look more, that the story makes more sense (how to delve deeper into the g rhytmon, how to see more Deep his hatred of looney tunes) that the spectator cameos appear before in their original form so that they are not just spectators, that Pepe and Penelope are from the team (even earlier in 2003 they would have a role of scientists in Back in Actions but not appeared), if there are more ideas you can tell me, what in the end I want is a better and extended version for all of us to enjoy.

Well, Marvin the Martian's appearance in the Comic is abit longer than the film version and Penelope Pussycat was in the Comic for only 3 Panels, but I do see what you mean by that.

The actual film seemed like it was rushed and unfinished. So many plot holes and not too enjoyable. This video seems to explain why it was like that. I definitely felt like something from the movie was missing that would had made it better. 😕

I know Al G Rhythm convinced all the Looney Tunes to leave Tune world, but how great would it have been if all the rest of them came back. How does every other WB character show up but NO other Looney Tunes? Makes no sense. Also, would have preferred seeing them go to GoT world, Scooby Doo world, etc and have them cut family and basketball stuff down. It's weird that the 2 of the longest world hopping scenes are both DC animations. I know WW is a comic world vs the 90s animated world... but they are still both pretty similar. Would have preferred more if they were going to make 2 so similar. The Matrix 4 stuff seems like a huge inability to pivot. The whole movie doesn't seem well thought out.

It's a shame they lost the Pepe Le Pew gag. Looney Tunes always did its best stuff when it got meta, and openly acknowledging how outdated the whole "aggressive French lover" stereotype is and making a joke out of it would've fit perfectly in that vein. I think Warner Bros. can still keep Pepe around if they use him right. One of the key things is, he's only funny when he loses. He's not a character who should be presented as a hero. He's like Johnny Bravo, a self-centered lunkhead who you wanna point and laugh at when he falls flat on his face. You can totally make that work. Where it gets creepy is in those cartoons where he has the upper hand at the end. Like in "Heaven Scent", where he corners Penelope down a dead-end tunnel, the cartoon irises out, and you're just left going "Okay... now what?" That's the stuff you wanna avoid; it was unpleasant in the '50s and it's still unpleasant now.

@John Cav "Really Scent" is a great example of how Pepe can be used without coming off creepy - what if he found a girl who loved him but still couldn't take his smell? It's a great twist on the formula, doubly impressive considering Chuck Jones didn't direct it. That's the kind of creative thinking that's needed to keep the character fresh.

Even though I still love Space Jam 2: A New Legacy alot, I kind of wish there was a Director's Cut/Extended Version of the film. I know some would say it'll NEVER happen, but you never know, there are some films to have an Extended/Alternate Version or even a Director's Cut like Little Shop of Horrors and High School Musical 2.

Pepe le Pew should have remained in the movie. No question about it. Given the latest 'controvesy' that started with this character, the movie's inital idea of updating him a bit for the modern ages was actually not that bad. So, while Space Jam 2 was not without its flaws, to say the least, this omission just stuck out like a sore thumb for me. And the idea of Penelope Pussycat didn't appear in this movie, even after the whoe Pepe le Pew controversy, just makes this even MORE ridiculous.
