The movie overall isn’t as bad as everyone says it is. Just go in there with low expectations and you’ll actually enjoy it. The movie isn’t good but it’s pretty much mid honestly. The original wasn’t good either but that film had somewhat heart put into it. For this film it seemed like they focused more on the visuals rather than the plot which was the movie’s downfall

I feel like the Rick and Morty cameo although cool and unexpected was still forced and out of place. If the real Rick was really in Space Jam he would’ve said something like “We’re a cheap cameo in a terrible Cash Grab movie that Warner Brothers made to flex how many properties they own.” Every cameo and sponsorship Rick is in he directly admits and calls out how they are selling out, but in this one he said nothing... it just didn’t feel like Rick, and that’s because a bunch of soulless executives decided to shoehorn him as just another character they own without truly understanding a lot of the characters they put in.

Honestly, I liked Space Jam 2 better than Ralph Breaks the Internet. RBtI felt like a cold, silent "fuck you" when we expected a genuinely good sequel to the original that included a Mario cameo, that turned out to be a corporate cashgrab. Space Jam 2 REALLY failed to understand what made the first one special with that "VIDYA GAMES BAD" opening, but I went into this movie with little-to-no expectations for it, and got what I expected. Animation, especially of the 3D Looney Tunes, was actually really good, though. Still corporate though lol SJ2 was definitely better, though. RBtI genuinely pisses me off. Both movies are still pretty terrible, but I had more fun with SJ2.

@@DavidSartor0 Taking a shot in the dark here but it's either a statement on Don Cheadle due to some controversy I am completely unaware of, or a statement on the fact that manipulation is by its very nature a removal of someone's agency through whatever means, so declaring that someone "let" themselves be manipulated is putting the burden and fault on the victim rather than the manipulator, a form of victim-blaming not unlike that which is used to shame people that are stuck in abusive relationships or some nastier legit crimes because they were dressed a certain way. Granted, this is me reading too much into a youtube comment and pushing my own views on the topic when it could just be referring to some big Don Cheadle conspiracy theory, perhaps linked to the Don Cheadle Lore that was hinted at. Truth is, perhaps Don Cheadle wrote the original comment in order to stir up some shit on the internet just to further his own dark, twisted goals. All along, he sought to divide us, to fuel the flame wars, to keep pitting youtube commenters against one another. Every night, he sits in front of his computer, looks upon his works, and smirks. He reminisces about high school. His junior year. That jerk on the debate team, the one who publicly humiliated him by thoroughly schooling him in Philosophy class when the teacher had them argue on the nature of man. That jerk who convinced everyone that people are inherently good. That brother will help brother in their time of need, that no one is needlessly thoughtless or cruel. Was he blind to his own cruelty, serving Don Cheadle the first failure of many in his life? Did he not see that for one to rise, another must fall? Don Cheadle has long seen, and smiles a knowing smile. In time, they will all see as he sees.

I love Space Jam, Back in Action, and everything Looney Tunes. I sent my bar low and I got to say, I was so happy with what I saw, I was audibly laughing multiple times. I saw this in theaters on purpose. The 2D animation was phenomenal and the 3D was not as bad as I thought it would be. Overall I’m glad I saw it and this was a great review.

I think the biggest difference between Space Jam and Space 2 is that the first Space Jam didnt try to be something it wasent, it was just silly funthat knew was stupid and didnt try to be more than stupid fun. Jam Space 2 tries to be an emotional masterpiece about the relationship betwean a dad and his son and also be silly fun, and just makes the silly fun less fun and silly and completely faild in the emotional part
