Okay I googled it, bc I'm british and even I think pronouncing lieutenant with an f is weird. So the word comes from the french words "lieu" meaning "place" (as in 'in lieu of') and tenant, and tenant meaning "holding" (as in 'holding a position') and so lieutenant is a placeholder for a superior, during their absence. However, in old french, "lieu" was spelt "leuf", hence 'leuftenant', and though the spelling changed, the pronunciation stayed the same.

I just need to get better at watching the color cause the blue and orange have sound cues too and I keep trying to parry moves that I can't

You can parry whenever you want, just not red attacks. Blue attacks are just the telegraped attacks. All normal melee attacks can be parried too.

"I wish you could parry every attack" You can. the Tutorial even says so. The blue shine is just a specific parry type, but you can parry any regular melee attack that doesn't have the red flash.

You can parry at any time. Except for red circle attacks. The blue circle is just a warning for a powerful attack/grapple. You still have to time the parry right, but you can at any time.

The dev team seems great for Space Marine 2. They didnt add denuvo and although I spend $90 on gold edition you can pirate the game which is a good thing. They "sponsored" genuinely an insane amount of people. I have seen channel with like 10k subscribers get early access and they weren't even doing a sponsored video. The game is also just good and the devs know that.

@@AnakinFury This, my pc is relatively outdated, and with the hords of nids I was worried Id have performance issues. One, on medium the game looks stunning, and two, literally noticed zero lag. I did later realise that the devs were also the ones to make the World War Z game, so I guess it makes sense that they'd have this sort of thing well optomised.

Only one bug I've seen, and it is that sometimes a singular dead Tyranid will float in the air after being killed. For modern gaming, that is a God send. Just one bug and it's completely inconsequential. Amazing.

A counter point to the closing statement as someone who hates darktide, Space Marine 2 is well worth picking up. It's flaws are overcome quite easily. I've played solo and with 1 friend for the entirety of one operative's leveling and can already enjoy any of the difficulties. On my level 1 classes. They don't shine like a leveled class, but they work. Struggling through a 3 or 4 difficulty mission grants you enough XP to get online if you aren't complete garbage at the game (or connecting to a distant server)
