Haha! My logic behind it is that it shows these kills were all in the same life. No hard cuts meaning I'm able to keep the intro short and sweet but still showcase a good sequence of kills 👍

That's actually true lol. In a sense there's at least a consistency to the rules of the game lol. Corner peaking for example is only an advantage for some angles. With shoulder swapping you can peak any corner easily for example lol. But without it at least you can push people that are corner peaking a corner that's on their left lol. Corner peaking is part of 3rd person games tho. You get used to countering them if you play more 3rd person games(with shoulder swapping). Fear not lol Feel like more PVP games should have a fixed but optimized fov. That is a great equalizer in pvp games that is rarely done

Yeah sort of a sleeper hit. I played the first game and it was really good - but it had it's warts and you can sort of tell they did it on a bit of a budget. This game just knocks it out of the park. SP2 has a campaign, an op pve mode and a pvp mode - and they are all really really good. I hope this title sticks around as a community fave for a long time. The devs are talking about adding things, like new classes, new game modes. They look like they intend to build on this.

Personally I found the game to be garbage. It's just left 4 dead with a 40k skin. Nothing new. And pvp is lame. Levels are short and boring. Complete lack of variety in the tyranids. Termagaunt. Hormagaunt. Warrior. Over and over and over again. Waste of money. Sure there is a lector or Ravener here and there... but it's just the same thing over and over again.

Just got this game yesterday and from my own limited experience as well as your video it confirms that they have some work to do. Your shots make immediate impact despite the projectiles taking time to reach the target. 0:47 is a perfect example as you can clearly see your rounds are still traveling and missing their targets yet the enemies are taking immediate damage.

Make parrying in pvp do something. It's annoying to get into a melee fight just to see who gets cut down the fastest. Parrying should cause a stagger for a counter attack to punish melee spam or power fist/hammer heavy attack staggers. Make parrying more difficult to pull off in pvp than in pve, but please implement it. Also, have it where there's a slight vulnerability if a parry attempt is failed. Perfect parry: enemy is staggered. Partial parry: you take half damage from attack. Failed parry: you take full damage or slightly more damage. If you think you will be parried, remember, you have a gun. Mix it up.

With the sniper class , using the second weapon the smg like bolter is very fun. More of an aggressive build using the cloak to flank and get in behind then flashing and wrecking with the bolter

@@bmxrider117 There is no parry mechanic in PvP. I've tried multiple times but you can only block the attack. The enemy isn't staggered or anything similar to how a parry would work, you're just able to save yourself from taking damage if you get the timing right which can give you the opportunity to counter if you're quick

That kill at 0:46 is what has been ruining PvP for me in the past couple of days. That guy was clearly behind cover already yet when Tomo shoots THE EMPTY SPACE WHERE HE JUST WAS, he gets a kill... The amount of times I am shot whilst being in cover is absurd on this game.

Nice gameplay. I’ve played 12 matches today, and every one stuttered constantly. Series X, cross play disabled, ping in the low 30s. It has not been fun. Can’t find any footage of gameplay as unfun as mine. Anyone else with similar experience? I really want to enjoy this game’s PVP.

It does but the recent GOW games took it too far. The class balancing in SM2 adds quite a bit of unexpected depth on its own. Moreso than wall bounching and gnasher spam I'd argue.

You can set the session mode to Private in the Operations screen. Then you can start a mission by yourself and two bots with random classes will join you

The heavy, lumbering movement on the big characters looks so weighty. I still think I would be a lot more interested in the regular game than the pvp. No time to appreciate the incredible looking environments when there are a bunch of sweaty 20 somethings zooming around wrecking you.

I wouldn't recommend the game specifically for PvP right now if that's the only thing you're interested in. Right now there are only 3 maps and 3 modes so PvP has a long way to go even if the core gameplay is pretty fun. Perhaps wait for a sale / more updates 👍
