Of all the new Primaris releases, this unit, the Lieutenant, and the Chaplain are probably my favorites both model and rule wise.

To me it's one of those "it's about time this became a thing" kind of unit. They look absolutely badass and the dynamic poses look great. The only downside is the duplicate sprue, but I'd wager this won't be a problem in the future when they get their own kit.

This unit alone is the main driving force to encourage me to start a primaris army. Bit weird how they are all left handed though.

@Cactusmanofdestiny No it does not, the sword goes in your dominant hand because once they are up close you want to be using your dominant hand, the only need to use your right hand is if you're using a two handed rifle. If you have the equivalent of a pistol that will be in your left hand.

@@MrTrenttness Not everything has to be about minorities and struggles, if a populace is predominantly right handed,models should reflect that. At least a healthy mixture rather than just all left and just all right

@@MrTrenttness There has been predominantly left handed fighters in the 40k and 30k range for years now, so no glass ceiling exists but I feel for the imbalance you receive elsewhere, you can also buy left handed versions of things, sadly this hasn't equated to left or either handed rifles in the UK yet but in time ....

@@MrTrenttness All good, whilst it should be obvious, satire is indicated in writing but using "at the start and end of the intended part. As do I, but if I was also holding a sword I wouldn't be switching the two options around over and over, I also would prefer my stronger and more dominant hand to fire a pistol, especially as it doesn't require too much aiming or accuracy when furring at the ranges we'd use them at. There are people who would respond in a genuine manner the way you formed your home lol mad I know

Great review! Yes, it’s a pity the number of twins, but I do love these models. If you cut the pegs and swap the arms between the duplicate models maybe you will get more different poses. Actually the 3 models on the assault intercessors + paint set are different from these. 👍🏻

I love these models but I didn't want another set of mono-pose models. These guys and the bike squat are the only models I didn't want from this set. They are fantasic though and I'm looking forward to the individual box from GW. Thanks for the review!

Just got the command edition these are my favorite. I think the 3 assault primaris that come with the starter paint set are uniquely posed. I've seen one holding a grenade.

Yeah the painting set comes with 3 unique assault intercessors. But i dont need the paint i just want those 3 poses. Perhaps they will be released as those 3 pack EZ build

I hope they get options to make them veterans and allow the sergeant to take another combat weapon other than a chainsaw because at the moment they are not great rules wise as interssors can have as many attacks, the sergeant can take a thunder hammer and they have twice as good shooting with more range. They look incredible however.

I think it would have been awesome if one of them was posed standing his ground holding a chainsword with two hands. Space marines are always holding their swords with one hand. Switch it up a bit GW.

Uhhh have you seen the handle its a one hand arming sword. Theres no room for a two hand grip.

The Twin model thing is a bit of a pain, that could have been solved by separate torso and legs perhaps, if not mirroring of CAD files. I am happy to see some running Intercessors (up until now only Haldor Icepelt and maybe Ragnar Blackmane could be considered as 'running') as it breaks up the imagery of Space Marines just slow walking across the battlefield or standing still all the time. I will swap out a few of the 20 I have and add them my Hellblaster/Intercessor squads for variety. All we need now is one or two kneeling Intercessor models and then we can really cover all or bases.lol I had originally shied away from the Primaris line as I found it hard to understand where they were going with all the Vanguard releases and whether Scouts were part of the Primaris military structure at all, but with Indomitus and the other new models on the horizon I too the plunge to make a Homebrew Primaris Chapter.

Might be possible but along with the plugs the plastic is cut at an angle so its sort of like two forms of restriction

You can mod the sergeant to wear his helmet if you cut the helmet off the optional belt piece. I like my marines wearing helmets. And if anyone says it's cos I can't paint faces they're a goddamn liar.

A decade ago I rage quit 40k over their nefarious marketing, power creep, and rising prices. I recently decided to get into Kill Team just to find it that it is far worse now than I remember. At least I wont spend a grand to build a great army just to have it nerfed in the next codex release by playing Kill Team.

Primaris minis are dull as dishwater. After years of great, multi part, multi pose, highly detailed regular marines with faction specific designs, what a step backwards this whole primaris debacle has been. Monopose. Cuts deliberately designed to prevent mix and match of parts (and keep out third party bitz), bland designs, no chapter specific units. No thanks.

Definitly agree. Having the chest and legs in one piece is a real step backwards. These guys are more statues than models now as the freedom of posing has been removed :( and i am not even talking about twin models. Really unhappy with these

I dont know what you two are saying. The indomintus models are so great. Go together like a dream fits snug and firmly. I bought a devastator box set what a mess. The arms were a pain to line up to get thay Grav amp cannon in place. Not even a notch or peg to insert the arms into. Also bought a scoutbox set yikes. Apparently certain arms go on certain bodies due to those chest ammo pouches. They wrist does not line up to the shotgun and yet all four shotgun poses are the same !

@@SWIFTO_SCYTHE i understand that devs are not the easiest models to build, but what i am trying to say is that with normal marines, you have much more pose possibilities than these new primaris. Agree or not you are free with your opinion and i respect that ;)
