A blogger who works from home wants a space where she can write and work with clients, but the only room she has available is bigger than she needs. Adjacent to her work space, she'd like to create an area where she can step away from the computer, "unplug" and recharge her creative batteries. Which of the final two Space Off teams will advance to the second round of competition by giving her something special to blog about?
About Space Off:
Two teams of Furnitureland South designers are given an empty room and a seemingly impossible challenge: only one day to design, furnish and decorate their space. Which team will our celebrity judges choose to be the ultimate Space Off champions?
What is The Design Network?

To me this was an easy decision...the room with the fireplace was beyond spectacular......gorgeous!!!!

Number 2 is beautiful and more romantic, place for relaxing rather than using it for workplace n office, in my opinion. I would’ve worked and concentrated better in room 1. That’s just for me tho

Both rooms are gorgeous but the winner was my favourite too.

I think this was a clear win. The other room had too many patterns, it confused things especially those zebra stools which l hate. The only critique about the gorgeous winning room is that without focusing, the fireplace and the chairs next to it look like one blurry object because they are too alike. Love this series, so inspiring

Did I miss something? I thought the neutral room was the older ladies and the one with the oranges and all the patterns was the longer ones. I think the neutral won, but I think I mixed up who did what room?

Wow. Two great rooms! I really liked room one, but I absolutely went gaga over room two - what a GORGEOUS elegant and romantic space. I would live in that room with the fireplace forever!

I again disagree with the judge. The other room flows way better. In the long run, it will be a more comfortable and functional space to be in. I may change out the bookshelf and make it bigger though.

Number two all the way. Beautifully designed for a fashion blogger and -for the first time in this competition- not overdesigned. The winning space feels airy, functional, inviting, creative, and very skillfully curated. The only piece I'd remove or at least move to the desk is the personal photograph which is out of place where it is, no matter who is in the photo.

I love color and pattern mix, so of course I loved the room with these. The neutral room was beautifully done just not as cozy. It basically comes down to personal taste.

I love these competitions but . . . the parameters of the rules, to shop only in their showroom, creates rooms with generic furniture and generic accesories. The generic carpets really put me off. I would love for them to be able to use a Persian rug from one of the tribes that is vibrant with color and perhaps shows some unique aging and takes away from the stodgy perfection of a room. These rooms are beautiful but they are "magazine" rooms that don't allow for real antiques or fantastic thrift store finds to punch them up with high and low end sensibilities that create a truly individualized room. In the end these rooms are beautiful, but ultimately too cookie cutter for my taste. And that kind of vibe, knowing that my next door neighbor could potentially have the same exact room actually saddens and upsets me. For instance, I would never purchase a whole room from IKEA. I would maybe purchase one statement piece from a big box furniture store and then everything else would be absolutely unique to my house. If you were to walk into my humble home right now that is what you would see. Therefore, I would not be able to truly relax in these rooms or view them as my own.

Both are pretty but I don't get something. The rooms are for a blogger yet both rooms have a desk stationed away from an outlet so you'll have cords on the floor unless you're fortunate enough to have an outlet on the floor. What do you do, run the cords under the rug through a hole?

I've just discovered these videos. What a creative inspiring way to promote their design service and showcase furniture. The designers must like this chance to be challenged, to demonstrate their talent.
