Wow! #1 is My DREAM DINING ROOM! I love everything in it! So classy and elegant! 💖🌹💋

I really loved the classic and timeless room with the neutral backdrop. As a mature lady myself (though not retired) I thought that room to be more the taste of a mature couple looking to entertain. Its classy and classic at the same time. I felt like the other room would more be my daughter's taste. Young and fresh and eclectic. Like a person who is now starting out and has collected pieces from various family members then did a fantastic job making them all mesh together seamlessly. However, I maintain that for the specific challenge, key words and age of the couple the classic and classy room would be a much better option. Well done both teams.

The first room is definitely more my style. I don’t care for the second at all, however the second room hit everything that was asked of them. They won rightfully.

I liked the winning room but I felt that it made the dining area more of an afterthought. The first room was a dedicated dining room. It was elegant and calming.

Key words were classic, timeless, candlelit. They also described it (in the description of the video) as "dazzling" the eye. To me those speak to more sophisticated styling. The other key words were DINING room, intimate and social. * Pink does not say "sophisticated" but more "feminine". * Classic tends to lean toward balance and symmetry. Think Greek and Roman design- all balanced. * This was to be a "dining" room. It was interesting that there was a relaxed seating area in the pink room but the focus was to be as a dining room. I would agree with Michelle Pereira's comment that the dining seems like an afterthought. Not only this but the two areas didn't really seem connected. * The styling of the pieces is very casual except for the captain chairs at the dining table, the round table with the mirror by the window, the bench (which was too white for the rest of the color palette) and the wooden chair in the seating area. This does not give the impression of sophistication. * I would also argue that this does not speak to "timeless". Rather this space has more of an "antiques" look to it which I heard referred to as "eclectic" . * "Dazzling" I feel is most effective when playing with light. This is best achieved through reflective surfaces (mirror/metals) as well as faceted pieces (crystal/glass). The pink room did not have enough of these materials to have the dazzling effect. No offense to the room or it's designers but I don't see how the pink room met the call to design.

I would have gone with the other room. From the wall colour, to those dining chairs, to the artwork. I find it tied up better together than the other one. We want more!

I like their decision, Meg and Kaitlin anticipated an evening with friends in their design and that's why they won. Listening to every detail a client gives is key.

I haven’t chosen a winner yet, the room they chose is too busy for my taste. It doesn’t seem timeless or classic.

The Design Network I really like both spaces. The space that is closest to my idea of entertainment is the one with several seating areas. This is the way my home is arranged as well. We like to give our guests various seating/standing options.

The judges got this one wrong in my opinion. The neutral room is stunning!

First room of course. Dining is serve is the title en if u said.*.retired* its the perfect choice for oldies. Judges arent retire so they want an easy steps en moving a few steps away as their minds busy on something

The judges purposely pick the wrong room to drive people crazy, they always do , i swear. The girls said they know when designing the lay out they have to divide the large room without leaving a empty spot n th middle...but that’s the exact mistake they made. Making a room multifunctional doesn’t mean dividing it.
