I find the idea of a live action space patrol quite exciting.

Nice to finally see this in colour. It adds more interest to the stories I think. This brings me back to the days of my childhood it does.

Glad you are enjoying these John. As a "young" 58 year old, I didn't get to see these first time round, but they do seem to have aged well, compared to other material from the time. The puppetry and sets are great, especially considering the small budgets they had to work with, and the dialogue is often quite clever and humorous.

13:40 curiously these puppets don’t seem to have the same problem with walking as later Gerry Anderson puppets did.

I was thinking the same.

Roberta Leigh was far ahead of her time 😲 You add up the scientific concepts…warp bubble galasphere…silicon life feeding only energy…hyperdrive space ships….she knew far too much in 1962 🤔 Yobba rays are discovered in 2082…how…did she know that 😄😉

Dart and Slim know they're visiting Lumen during its night hours, but don't think to bring along a flashlight. No Boy Scouts they. It's freaky how huge our explorers are compared to their ship when outside. It's funny to see the bits from the sparklers used as propulsion units falling downwards. The creators didn't twig onto the technique of tilting the setup and camera 90 degrees, so that the sparkler bits would fall in the direction of thrust. A rather cavalierly dark handling of the demise of the 'cat.' This show was produced the year I was hatched.

An American production wouldn't have killed the "cat".

Had Schroedinger already posed his theorem of a cat in a box being alive or not or was/is Roberta Leigh a time traveler? 🙂
@mandolinic Жыл бұрын
The cat in the box thought experiment was devised by Schroedinger in 1935, about 30 years before this series was made.

Seems like they used the same heads over and over....
