Choice sexism there 'always agree with a woman it saves a lot of bother'. On the other hand, the script is intelligently written and grounded in science. Sort of. Neptunian telepathy, so no language barrier. Dart experiencing G forces. Electromagnetism field blocking most of the Sun's rays......even an EMP event

The script has the communications gear still working because it used "transistors and batteries". So apparently the the electromagnetic field only affected centralised power distribution systems. Since the robots would also have to use batteries, they would still work too.
