With games as shallow as this one, it's easy to see why Sonic didn't last long - this game in particular, it doesn't look like there's a whole lot to do once you've maxed out your bonus and gotten the double bonus. Butterfly has the exact same problem.

Yep, these were the games of my youth. I was 12 when this one came out, and I used to pump my allowance right in. It's been really interesting to watch all these PAPA videos and observe that it isn't my imagination that the old machines used to be really cruel! Yes, the new machines are much more complicated, with lots of objectives and modes and ramps and toys and multiballs, and ballsaves, etc. But I watch some of the tutorials on the new machines where a single ball will be played for 10 or 15 minutes (!), and then look at the gameplay on these old EMs. I guess it's just a bit gratifying to see that even with a pro playing a machine like this, you can have some really short games. No wonder it seemed like our pinball money never went very far. Seems like you get much more playing time for your $ on the new machines. Correct me if I'm wrong.
