Space Shuttle Discovery Flies Over Washington DC

Seems I saw a photo of the space shuttle (Columbia?) being flown this way back in the late 1970's, before the first shuttle mission (1981). I think it, the photo, was in the paperback version of The Guinness Book of World Records. It looked cool then; it looks cool today. :-)

What is it with Countries, they can spend billions on Space flight & Wars but plead poverty when it comes to things that matter. The USA could afford free Health care like they have in the UK & more & the Uk could be so much better if the Government didn’t Squander the money on stupid things & pocket for themselfs
