I must be misremembering, because I remember the intro to this game being a lot worse than this.

Body Harvest was a fun game, got into lot's of vehicular bug blasting mayhem while playing it, a rather strange somewhat 'survival horror' game with how it plays. The hovercraft boss battles were a little bit ridiculous. Cubivore was also quite an interesting game about survival and the cycle of life for seeming so simplistic. This is making me miss games like Blast Corps (Puzzle demolition to prevent massive explosions), Jet Force Gemini (Shooter that require 100% completion to get to the end of the game), Rocket Robot on Wheels (Puzzle Platformer in a theme park), Tonic Trouble (Action adventure platformer), Hybrid Heaven (RPG with a curious combat system and not very strong on plot) and Buck Bumble (Action Flyer that has a cyborg bee) as some the more out there games I know of. I know this game quite well... it'll be fun to watch, but I already know Naka can't 100% this 'normally'. There were a few problems with this game that prevented it from being 100% completed, without cheating that is, so the most you can do naturally is basically something like 99% of the game. The reason is because of a small 'collision' issue caused problems in a particular level, otherwise this game is for the most part a convoluted mess of body swapping proportions and zany animal antics, we're not talking the DK2 level of the same name here. Silicon Valley involves the robot buddies body, your main character, being absolutely destroyed in a crash to start us off and is left as nothing more than a computer chip, a rather mobile walking one that can't survive on it's own for long without a body and thus this game starts with your first animal 'capture'. A lot of the time in this game you have to finagle animals into position to even take control of them in the first place, normally you do so by beating the ever living snot out of said robot animal with another robot animal to knock it out and leave it open to being controlled in the first place. This game is rather challenging in a variety of ways with the number of mechanical animals you can take over. All of them having their own particular gimmicks and abilities, like the mentioned 'Avenging Spirit', based on what the animal in question is seen to have on it. I would say that this game is a variety platformer.

This game... this game was part of my childhood. I've thought over the years about how you could remake it in so many cool ways. You could go with a faithful and goofy adaption, or you could go with a more dark slant to it and make it creepy and have the animals be much more like basic machines that simulate animals on an incredibly basic level. Not until Mario Odyssey did we see a game quite like this. Also, damn Psygnosis has a freaking cool logo.

Huh, I've heard of this game, but I'm not really all that familiar with it. However, I do recall reading in the past about there being a bug in this game that prevents you from 100%-ing it without cheats or mods, due to a particular trophy that you can't actually collect for some reason. (22:04) Weird that the game didn't seem to notice that you got your fourth sheep in the pen there, and the objective didn't complete. (30:25) Ah, now you got the game to recognize that you did the thing.

So fun fact: y'know those speakers and the terminals that go over your current form around the stages? You can smash them. In fact, I think you have to smash all the speakers in one stage, and doing so actually takes out the BGM, which is a neat touch.

I'm trying to think of an N64 game I'd want to go back to, but Bomberman 64 isn't really that, though I do recall the main enemies being cool because they have star names, like Sirius and Regulus. Same with Yoshi's Story, I just couldn't click with it

This game was great! I loved the airplane battle and the desert zone as a kid, with the gun rats. It had some bugs which render it impossible to 100% iirc, which is unfortunate, but it's a fun quirky game.

I do recall this one, along with some other random games of the era, though it starts in like 1996 when we first got a Gamepro subscription. Granstream Saga is one I'd be dumbfounded if you play, seems like a difficult learning curve and more action heavy. I think there was a circus one for N64, plus Glover and a few others from that library.

Gosh this was a favorite of mine as a kid. Never have i seen it on sale anywhere but i rented it over and over again as a kid. I really want a spritual successer to this game. Closest we have to somthing modern media would be cappy in mario. Or a bit older Dr Muto.

Fun fact, if you try to play this game with the N64 expansion pack installed the game will crash immediately after the title screen every time.

I feel like I've heard of one where you kind of parasitize stuff, but either it's just in my head or I'm mixing up the one from New Game that was in Season 2, PECO, where you could basically disguise yourself as animals via kigurumi and sneak around. The game design aspects were less prominent, so I feel like Naka might still enjoy it, because it does address it while also bringing up character design, which is kind of more the focus overall. There's even a character that interns for debugging, she's able to figure out things like that because of how quirky she is.

I maintain that this game does what Super Mario Odyssey does so much smarter for one simple reason: it's not fun to play when you're not transformed. In Odyssey, Mario is so freakin' fun to use that transforming feels like it slows the pace to a crawl.
