Force yourself to smile a goofy grin for 8 seconds. You will realize how we feel is a choice. You will either smile for 8 seconds in the midst of feeling bad, go back to feeling bad after, and realize it was indeed a choice and you chose to smile for those 8 seconds…or…you will be feeling so upset that you will refuse to smile for 8 seconds and then you will really realize that it’s a choice and perhaps you are feeling down because you want to feel down since obviously you could have chosen to smile for 8 seconds if you wanted to. U don’t know why I’m saying this to you. Hope all is well

This finale just took that ones place as 1st (only a by a small bit) as it left me feeling more sweet and less saddened that it was ending and with a splash of hope for the future. This series has been awesome. I have loved the whole community goal + limited resources vibe. This has been such a chill series to watch along to. Me and a few friends even started up a server (We had only played about 10 hours each prior) and the wasteland style gameplay has been awesome fun. Took me ages to get things actually working tho, the different mods in this are quite particular about setup and getting a similar setup working with no knowledge of modding was tricky. Kudo's to you and your friends for bringing this style of gameplay to the forefront :D

that view of Lunchsite at night is why i think nights in games should be dark. All the lights bring out entirely new feel at night. There seem to be much more cinematic vibe here with all those special spectator shots and more music than usual. I like it. Makes whole thing more immersive and emotional. Reminds me of those timelapses you made at the end of SM and SI episodes. Hope you can make more of that style editing in future series. And i really think you could easily make it into two episodes. Successful return from the ice run would be where i'd put a split.
@ArstraeaАй бұрын

Splitsie, sorry if I’m a broken record but I don’t know for sure if you have seen this: did you ever watch the cartoon M.A.S.K.? The one with the flying red mustang? They were toys and the gimmick was everyone had a vehicle and their vehicles did simple transformations. The mustangs door opened up as wings so it could fly, a motorcycle quickly turned into a helicopter, a 4x4 jeep opened up (like a gators mouth) and the interior shot out and was a boat, etc. Anyway they were all pretty simple transformations and I’ve always thought it would be perfect for space engineers. You could do a multiplayer series where to be in the series you have to make one of the vehicles. If enough people signed up you could have some be bad guys and do some very small/light/controlled multiplayer combat. Probably dumb idea but I always think of it….and I wanted to make sure you knew which M.A.S.K. I was talking about. Ask Capac what he thinks lol (maybe he remembers the cartoon)

What a great finale. There are so many great shots in this episode. The launch facility, the ice runs with all the vehicles but tbh the one that screamed MAD MAX was the fuel run with the trucks. When the camera zoomed out and you had all gas trucks in view, riding the dunes, my brain screamd "Gas town, here we come" Amazing ppl and an amazing piece of work. Thanks for your dedication!

Ya know what's sad. I never learned how to actually play the game without mods, blueprints and cheats. I play by myself and it just got too overwhelming alone. So I just go in creative mode and build stuff then add a ton of MES guys and blow things up. over and over heh. This series has me wishing I wasn't so old to not have friends anymore. Then again, very few my age actually play games.

What an amazing series! Thanks to all who participated and to Splitsie for setting it up and making it available for us to watch. I lack the spatial awareness and familiarity with the blocks to create things and am in awe of those of you who make it look so effortless (even though I know it isn't). I also wanted to say how much I appreciate being able to find partially built things in this scenario and practice "repairing" them. It has really helped me get a better understanding of what is available in this game. I would probaby have learned even more but I got mildly obsessed with restoring the "Till all are one" truck I found. I'm pretty happy with how it looks and I even made a triler to match. Next step is to take it to a creative world and see if I can "transform" it as well. ;)

Had some computer troubles that tried to prevent me from watching this (you might've noticed youtube moving my comments between various videos, sorry about that if any ended up here), but nothing could keep me from this experience. I had the goofiest smile on my face during the end, it had so much weight to it having watched the whole series start to finish. How is it that each of your projects ends up greater than the last? I only wish I could've joined the server, but life wouldn't have let me. I hope one day I can make my own little mark on one of these such events. It's incredible how many people you can bring together like this, how many different minds come together to make some of these things work and all the wonderful and majestic builds we get to see (some of my favorites, aside from of course the train and nugget, would be that red spaceplane that left with you all at the end and that incredible looking white ship that was moving things around the lunchsite, as well as all the different bases people built), though almost sad to know there was doubtless an immeasurable amount more effort that goes largely unrecorded. Better to have happened than not by a long, long shot. So long, and thanks for all the episodes, it turns out - here's to plenty more!

The ending was epic. the ice run's were like something out of Mad Max. I just wish I could have discovered this series earlier to have been able to provide some comments on things that may have helped with getting the ice. Idea's for ice retrieval. 1) Forward fire base just before the no entry area. Small base with guns to cover the retreat of the train but far enough away it doesn't trigger the defenders when its there. 2) Disposable Flak guns. Escort vehicles tow a trailer with a gun or two on them. When train begins drilling, escorts detach trailers so the escorts can run at speed and the deployed guns act as decoys and defense. 3) large grid guns that can be carried to the ice and dropped off. (Just use connecters to attach them to the train.) It would be interesting to see some of the vehicles and bases people have designed; becoming part of the salvage for this scenario. That Dragon was awesome. Also, Splitsie, how about taking the highlights from this series and maybe condensing it into a movie. Starting off on the planet, salvaging, encountering other people and the ice runs and finally the leaving. Make it into a story / movie type thing.
@SplitsieАй бұрын
I had a bunch of other ideas about how the ice run 'story' would progress, but ended up shelving most of them as the train started to become more fun and a really nice genuine cooperative experience - but that means I've got some of those ideas available to use in other ways in the future :)

An awesome finale to a unique gameplay style for SE. That dragon the Space Train rode away on looked amazing. The entire Launch (lunch) Facility looked so much like something you'd see IRL. The attention to detail speaks volumes about the great group of players involved. I'm old enough that I saw the M*A*S*H finale when it originally aired, so IMO, the "GOODBYE" placed at the end of the runway was a perfect message to convey. The farewell transmission of "So long, and thanks for all the scrap" was quite fitting for the ending of this series too. A big thanks to all involved that made the Scrapyard Scenario possible, and to all the players that made this series enjoyable.

Great ending, and that dragon was a high point in a series full of them.

this is one of the coolest gaming experiences I have ever seen. If I were to see this as a child, it would've been like crack cocaine. Thank you for showing us this cool playstyle, and making videos.
