In my opinion the second greatest receiver in Cowboy's history and if he didn't have those horrible hamstrings he could have easily become number one and I'll say this about Austin I never ever remember him dropping a football he had such amazing hands!

This kid could have been something really special. Great ruote runner, good hands, break away speed, esplosive and clutch. Always made plays when we needed him to. Just couldn't stay healthy . Glad he got paid and was able to set himself up .

@joshuajackson7596: he only had two seasons where he missed significant playing time due to injury. 2011 and 2013. Remember he didn't get alot of catches from 2006-2008. 2009 was his break out season.

For a long time I thought Austin was a rookie when he had his breakout year in 2009. I didn’t start really watching the games until around 09 so I didn’t realize he had actually been involved in the 2006 playoff game and made one of the biggest plays of the game (would he remembered a lot more if not for how it ended). Then he just disappeared until 2009 I guess. That just makes it more funny how everyone forgot about him. I mean you’d think, it being such a recent game, people would realize “hey, that guy was pretty fast, we should probably cover him well”.

That chiefs game was his Hero game; his official initiation to being the starter in the fans eyes. He had to step it up. I remember telling to my brothers “who’s Miles Austin? Apparently he’s starting for today, he’s our only good WR” haha daing good old times 💪🏽
