(Hi-fi Stereo) Another live take of this song, performed on late night USTV, with a clearer picture & sound IMHO.

I have such great memories of this song. I was driving home from Sky Harbor airport and passing through the Papago Mountain Park in Tempe, Arizona just around sunset. The mountains are this beautiful red color and the sunset lit the sky on fire. The top was off of my 1993 Honda Del Sol and this song came on the radio. With the wind blowing through my hair I lit a cigarette, exhaled slowly, and smiled. It was a perfect moment captured perfectly forever in time thanks to this song.

And I had a similar experience - In the middle of the desert... The song was Sister Christian. 2 am, on the 10 West heading out of Phoenix, AZ in my 68 VW Bus. Had just spent a week waiting for my VW to be fixed. Finally got my bus back and feelin' like a million bucks. Crossing the des at night because of the heat. "Sister Christian, oh, the time has come..." I crank up the stereo and just as the chorus starts, "Motorin"!", hits that big guitar chord/crash, and BOOM, my motor blows up... again. In the mirrors I see a huge cloud of smoke, bright red from my tail lights. Night Ranger's still cranking, and I looked at my girlfriend and said "it's gonna be ok", as I coasted us to a stop under a big sign that said "STATE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY - Do NOT pick up hitchikers" That was a long, strange trip.

Noah, can you give an example of a band that had a studio produced hit and couldn’t pull it off, live on TV?
@Evidenceandcompassion Жыл бұрын
@@Triumph865 The first name that "comes to mind" is SEAL. I remember his promoting of studio hits on both tv and in concert. There was nothing technically "wrong" however it simply fell completely flat. He just wasn't a prime time live performer yet. It's also not entirely on the performers. A lazy house mix and "green" A1, Sub, or live mix engineer can make the difference between "award winning" and "completely forgettable" sonic spectrums. Most established pros have there own crew managing the main board, mics, direct feeds, and spacial acoustic nodes/modes. However an unknown and/or new band most often depends on the savvy and good will of an in house venue staff. An example of a perfect studio song transferred to the stage and captured with recording would be almost any RUSH concert. One could debate they were better live than in Le Studio. Happy to explain more if requested if you like. I hope that helps.

@@Evidenceandcompassion Very accurate & well stated. Bowie had a hard time reproducing stuff on TV at times. A lot of his might of been never having the same band personnel one time to the next. One people wouldn't expect is the Cars. when you hear the Cars tracks they give of a strong Bounce energy. I've seen them twice and just like you said with SEAL nothing "wrong" they just didn't produce the energy the studio stuff did. It works the other way too. To name a few Nine Inch Nails, Prince, The Kinks, Queen. If you were lucky enough to see any of these Live "I hope you had your seat belt on" they will WOW you.

A classic 1990's alternative rock and roll anthem. A true two hit wonder band. One of their songs is entitled 'Goodbye Violet race'. There's only one place they could have gotten that information: The epochal revelations of the Urantia Book, and its soul stirring and spirit illuminating teachings. That is the reason that lead singer is so freaking happy. Adam and Eve were the parents of the Violet race.
