Docker Troubleshooting Rebuilding the Unraid Docker Image

Just wanted to say thanks. Rebuilding my Docker solved my "BTRFS error (device loop2): bdev /dev/loop2 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 9758, gen 0" corruption! You have some of the most detailed UNRAID tutorials out there. You are appreciated sir!

I'm having some funky behavior with probably a container or docker. Everything is fine for weeks, then I notice the unify docker in a stopped state with the log partition blasted full. The rest of the containers show as running, but aren't working. System is totally unresponsive and even bringing down the array doesn't work. Only pressing the power button. So happy to have all debugging steps in 1 video to check out!

Worth adding: either make a list of your installed dockers (screenshot), or tidy up your previous apps before you wipe your image. When I've done this before, I've had to weed through all the other dockers I've tried and removed, including the same apps on a couple of occasions (eg, multiple versions of Plex).

I wonder if you could disable docker, then delete the files on the USB drive and re-enable docker to just grab and backup the images you have currently installed?

On a side note.. I was having a problem with a docker WebUI giving me a "Can not connect" error in the browser. I had to clear my browser cache for it to work. Thanks for the awesome videos!

you might reconsider nginx (swag) to Nginx-Proxy-Manager this one has a nice interface and auto renewal of certificates

Great video, wish I would have seen this earlier today. Manually added all of my containers one by one.......welp. Next time if it happens again. Maybe I'll just switch over to xfs and do it anyway.

I don't know if it was noted, but after starting docker I created my "proxy" network before restoring all the containers so the templates worked :)

If you are using Letsencrypt/Swag, check if your custom network does still exist in docker before you re-add the containers. It happened to me, that it was removed during the process and after adding the apps again, they were not pointing to any network showing : in the allocations instead of :.

When spaceinvaderone is browsing the flash drive, showing where container templates are stored @ 5:01, I noticed he has options to DELETE, COPY, MOVE files from within the unRaid UI. What is this plugin or setting called? I am running 6.10.3 as well. TIA

My unraid is borked, im getting an error about docker.sock something about it cant find some files. Docker, vms, shared folders, and unraid web ui all dont work. Array claims to have started, but nothings accessible and i appear to be able to make changes i shouldnt be able to with the array running (fir example network settings), my unifi says it has an ip/connection. Ive tried restarting services and the machine to no avail, when i restarted the machine it claimed "unclean" and ran a parity check that found 0 errors. Still nothing works.

ugh not sure what happened but was importing some new shows and intro/outtro detection was running and then my plex crashed. Tried restarting but kept getting a failed to execute error which led me here. I tried following the delete image step but nothing appeared to happen after bringing docker back up and failing. Then tried to restart and my server webgui won't come back up :( any idea what's going on?!

Ok, question regarding this. I tried to roll back a docker to an older version (nextcloud, got php error) to try and fix it, however it failed and gave me an orphaned image, anyway to use that image to reinstall the docker? When I go to the apps drawer it's asking me to create the docker from scratch again instead of using the original image to prepopulate what was setup previously. Not that it should matter but I'm on 6.10.3 and trying to use linuxserver repo for it. Not that I really have anything in nextcloud, (kinda got it running but havnt done anything with it since I don't know much of what I'm doing, in fact I havnt even gotten to test it to make sure I can access it remotely (app on mobile)), but I'd rather not have to try and set it up again if at all possible.

Hey Ed, not a question related to this video but vnc on unraid. Are you having any issues with it? On mine (set up with 6.9.x then updated through 6.10.3 now) is now not connecting to vnc remotes. I have a working TrueNAS vm on it now because I set it up back on 6.9 but now can not view it or the vnc for another vm I am trying to create (for pfsense). Do you have any experience with this issue and possibly know a fix for it or is this news to you? I see a couple posts on unraid forum (2 or 3) mentioning vnc connection issue.

I recently changed from btrfs docker img to docker dir because of all the btrfs house keeping that's writing to my cache ssds. And with Write amplification it piles up quite a bit and nibbles away from my SSDs TBW for nothing.
