You definitely did his work the justice it deserved, as well as Shoddycast's. This series in general took me back to a more hopeful time in the Fallout community, and I guess KZbin in general. Thanks for all the hard work and passion you and your team put together for this project as well as your original DUST video (which is also fantastic). This was an amazing shot at the story surrounding Dust. So the Dust narrator is another Story Teller, like the one from Shoddy Cast all that time ago, interesting. Could it be possible for the series to continue through an edited playthrough to learn more in detail about the settlements left behind in Dust? Is this going to continue at all with another fallout mod? This was pretty damn good
@SpacemanScott Жыл бұрын
I'm thrilled you liked it! Was genuinely one of the most fulfilling projects I've been able to work on. As for a continuation of the story with Dust/other mods... I don't know. A complete cop-out answer I know, but if I were to revisit the world of Dust or make a derivative series about another mod than it'd be 1: A few years down the road and 2: with a full team of people to help me put it together. This lore series was more or less my baby, one that I wore every hat in when it came to production. Narration, script writing, script editing, sound design, filming all the machinima scenes, video editing, etc. etc. etc. You name it, I probably did it. And while I'm proud of what it became and to see how people have enjoyed all the hard work that went into creating it, I'm reticent to jump headfirst into another season or derivative work alone lmao. After all, I started work on this series back in early 2020, and it's only recently been completely finished and released. So in short: maybe. I'm not opposed to make more of these in the future or covering things like Frost or STALKER, but I think I'm gonna focus on a few smaller projects for the channel in the meantime. And for all of those wondering about the undiscovered parts of Dust's lore, and who don't want to wait for a sequel series to this one, you too can follow The Narrators example and become your own storyteller, discovering the world of Dust for yourself. It's like the man says: "All stories deserve to be told, to be documented, and shared with others. Even yours, whatever it may be, and wherever it may go. "
@Duwangman Жыл бұрын
@@SpacemanScott Oh jesus, you did this all by yourself, no wonder you are hesistant to work on something else, that's way too much work for one dude. The talk about the BoS taking the Big Mt. got me thinking... If the people doing F4NV ever also do the DLCs, I hope they end up adding some new content. Maybe let you tell the BoS you've secured the place and they're safe to move in, kinda like how in F4, you could tell the BoS about Far Harbor's synth holdout and raid it with them. Having the base game content able to interact with DLC content was one of my favorite parts of F4. That, and playing after the game's 'end' to see how your choices effect the world and see the aftermath of what you've done. Hope some of that bleeds into F4NV, too. Having a post-game and witnessing the consequences of your actions is such a fun thing, and would be so much more fun in NV. I've heard of mods that allow that in the real NV, but I haven't tried them yet.
