These last two videos feel like a stylistic inflection point as I continue my chronological journey through the SandPond Saga. A joy to watch.

Hi! Other sites didn't let me send you a message so I'm writing this here, I really liked SandPond and I thought I could use it to make some terrains with it for some videos, so I made a fork of it that has a save and load function and it can download the world as a .obj file. I called it SandPonder because it helps with thinking about how some terrains should look, and because I found it funny, I'm planning on adding some extra stuff to it in the future.

awesome! i'd happy merge the save/load if you want. or if you want to keep it in the fork that's also fine

@@TodePond I don't really understand GitHub to be honest, I separated the save/load part to a different folder but I can't make another fork so I'm not sure how to do this. Should I temporarily replace SandPonder with only the save/load part and change it back after the pull request?

@@TodePond I did some more googling and figured out that I can make a separate branch that only has the desired parts. I made a pull request, although it does say that it has failed all the checks which is pretty rude by github D:

@@Soverthe hey awesome! yeah you did it right! the failures are because of me not updating it in a while - that's my fault. I'll have a look at some point :)

I know this is quite old, and this comment isn't really about SpaceToad or anything, but aarthificial just released a demo of "Motion Canvas" which he uses for making the graphics of his videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYW4kpl3rNeopKc Seems like the kind of thing you might be interested in! It's not... really available for anyone just yet, but you know :)

Yeah I came across that yesterday - it looks really interesting! I usually use a combination of different tools for animation stuff, so this would be really cool to try!
