For a second I didn’t realize that Paul Panichi was on lead trumpet. My self confidence was drastically lowered for a second when I thought there was a high schooler that could play that lead part so easily.

After looking for a good cover solo on tenor saxophone for 30 minutes, this was the one i liked the most. Nice to see young guys playing to an excellent level.. this was 10 years ago, those kids must really be killing now!

It's a thing here in australia that gets school kids from all around the country. There's music, dance poetry etc. basically just a big performance.

For spec in Australia they hold auditions for these bands just for this performance, there is various other ensembles like a massive choir and orchestra
