Saw these guys live back in about 2004/05, where Bloc Party had the headlining slot.. They were absolutely awesome, and rocked the fuck out of the place. They out-shined Bloc Party by light years! Mass Distraction is a beast of an album, glad to own it!!

Wow, I never knew Jarle Bernhoft was the vocalist in Span! Good god it's so different from what he's doing now. I loved Span back when they released Mass Distraction, but haven't listened to them a lot after they disbanded. I loved Jarle Bernhoft at once though when he came out with his solo album in 2008!

Saw these guys perform at a free concert on the 17th May 2001 in Oslo for the Norwegian national day, instantly hooked, massively, massively underrated band. I think Q magazine wrote of them a couple of years later that they were the best heavy rock band on the scene apart from QOTSA and having seen both live I really couldn't argue.

This has become one of my favorite rock bands of all time (last 40 years included) since this CD came out..FYI it was a sleeper cos I bought it without knowing anything about SPAN and usually that kind purchase results in disappointment. I was anxiously waiting for the next CD to be released but can't find it anywhere.
