After that i would look at The familia records catalog trying to find anything with Ese Daz, Rich Roc would go on Lime Wire and Download My O.G lowrider anything with Spanish fly i honestly thought rich roc died Can't wait to see the documentary.

Mr. Frank 'forever 40' Garret ya everyone took it that way I can understand why. But basically it was relating to rich rock not being active in the hip hop music scene. But the song R.I.P in the album has nothing to do with rich rock dying or anything like that

Hey Tony A keep doing it big homie. Been looking forward to this interview since I and many believe that they started the whole Chicano rap sound and flow (Ese Rich Roc). It wasn’t brought up but I don’t understand why Ese Daz said “RIP to the homie Rich Roc” in a song in 96 or so. It lead to people thinking Rich was dead. I met Murry Brumfield in 2000 and he said he was just living in the streets. In 2010 DJ Tricks even said he had recently passed away but according to this interview he still alive lol.

Theyre referring to maniak from san diego rip. He got signed to low profile records and used og spanish fly as his rapper name. But he did have skills on the mic but back then chicano rap had risen to its peak and everyone was biting i think even lil rob copied sum of ese rich roc style. Like his signature saying SIMON. but also low pro was biting bone thugs

Damn maniak died ?
@JoseFlores-jy3bn4 жыл бұрын
Low profile records was copying everyone. They had califa thugs that rapped like bone thugs. They dropped La Cronica which was a copy of Dr Dre's 2001. They took spanish fly the whole name of a classic group. Royal T robbed lil rob. But he did bring alot of talent. Another label that popped at the moment was Wicked Minds from Wreck. Then caphoney popped his ugly head with a remake of snoops nuthin but a g thang with ODM from lighter shade of brown. Southland oldtown conejo then it went radio with pocos pero locos. Baby bash nb ridaz and even DOWN put out big hits. Then the whole scene died out and no one really popped because g unit and jay z and the whole black rap market was popping of thr damn charts and new styles were introduced as far as clothing and long story short. Its back full force full speed
