I noticed those too, yet in her How to Cook series she said she only had 5 knives (two for paring, large general, palette... I forget the fifth) and that this was all anyone needed

Not everybody has time to slave over a stove/cooktop. This is a nice way to have a cooked meal if you're busy or have things to do.

Truth be told, I'm going on my 3rd year of being a vegetarian. Sadly, I don't look like one. I'm still built like the stunt double for Jabba The Hud and my car didn't turn into a VW van with flowers on the side. Oh well.
