@@waynej2608 Good grief. "The design equivalent of non-alcoholic beer and turkey bacon" does not refer to a color match. It refers to the castration of something which had been fun in order to appeal to a newly dull consumer base. (Also, near-beer has been around forever; it just wasn't heavily marketed until Anheuser-Busch figured out that Yuppies would pay a premium to appear responsible.)

To those who believe “new” SNL sucks and “old” SNL was a goldmine of laughs, here’s another piece of the puzzle to get you to understand that SNL was always hit or miss and was always a roller coaster. You watch SNL because there’s usually 2 or, if you’re lucky, 3 skits that ARE gold and repeatable. I will say that older shows DID have far more talented/honest musical acts compared to now. They performed live ALWAYS and they usually weren’t such pop throw-aways as today.
@ppumpkin32825 жыл бұрын
I don't know if this was a hit or miss. It probably depends more on your mood. But all three of these actors crack me up with just their facial expressions.
@waynej26085 жыл бұрын
@@ppumpkin3282 You've both made great points. It is still hit or miss, but the cast was more solid, up and down. I realize that's subjective, but I know I'm not alone there and I am firm about those talented players. Right on, about the musical guests. Altho, I guess that's an opinion too. Still, look who they had back in the day, compared to recent seasons. It's hardly worth tuning in for, for the music. It used to be pivotal parts of the show. Don Pardo: and now The Rolling Stones, for example. Flash forward to, no Don Pardo and now, Cardi B., for example.
