Colima is a beautiful part of Mexico.... We have decided to make this our home within the next few months. We found a nice home in an even less known area called Suchitlan. Couple factors for us was the weather is cooler and the price was more in line with our budget. We will be renting which of course would recommend over buying. You guys do a great job with your videos and has been a great resource for us. Thank you very much !!!!!

Colima is the most violent city in the world (statista). I'm impressed that someone who was not born there would even consider moving there. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that there are good and bad areas and that crime is gang related, but to live it the most violent city on the planet is not at all appealing. Hopefully the Mexicans will do something about the state of their own country.

Unfortunately for most of us mexicans that is quite unaffordable, it will take ages to get it paid off, but if you plan to settle down there it wouldn't really be a problem, would it? That's why people would rather get the land only and build without the assistance of an architect and engineers so the price goes down but the final result isn't as beautiful as one of these.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a two bedroom, two bathroom new construction house in the US for anywhere near $60k. I thought that was quite reasonable. -Jim

@@SpanishandGo Yeah but the average mexican earns about $500/month, that if you went to college(so if we want to live in the third house we would have to share the rent with at least 5 other people and we'd be struggling), a lot of people are earning $300/month, and people with no studies less than $200/month. Say we want the first house, doing quick math it'll take 30 years to pay it off, no vacation, no expensive dinners etc etc.
@SpanishandGo3 жыл бұрын
@@linking932 Sorry, I misread your first message. Yes, for most Mexicans these houses would take a long time to pay off. But a 30-year mortgage is also common in the US. People in the US tend to earn more than people in Mexico, but houses are also considerably more expensive. -Jim

@impulsesystems3 жыл бұрын
You can but should you? Water quality depends strongly on your location, so it is difficult to generalize. Many people drink filtered water in their houses or buy garafones [large 19 liter bottles] of purified water. In the state of Guanajuato, we use carbon filters [like Berkey] or reverse osmosis filters. We also capture rainwater, which can be much cleaner than town or well water. There are labs that can analyze water samples. Saludos!
