Abyssal have stealth making them harder to detect (need to get closer). The small plasma turrets do no damage to hull or devices, they are anti-shield and anti-personnel turrets. They're for close range anti-shield defense or interior defense. The entropic plasma cells are also used for ammunition for the Abyssal epic weapons (obtained from bosses in the main Abyssal POIs). You can also get entropic cells from Zirax soldiers inside their POIs.

In case anyone missed it: Raven posted on the workshop yesterday that they are waiting for Vermillion to finish their work on RG and then RE should be updated for 1.4 a couple of days after that. Spanj's video is running 1.3 (see top left of his screen). Additionally, Raven said there is a big Eden update due on Feb 12th, so might be worth waiting until then if you are thinking of restarting.

Yeah, I've had problems with the detector picking up certain pois. It wouldn't pick it up until I was right on top of them. Sometimes I've had to get out before it would reveal its name.

Some POIs are harder to detect than normal. Abyssal have stealth.

FYI Reforged Eden just updated to 1.4 on the workshop an hour ago, but Ravien is advising people to wait a couple more days if starting a new game as they will be adding more content before the end of this week.

Could you put teleporters on each ship and then teleport between them, as needed, or does the teleporter’s CPU usage make that idea impractical? I was wondering how you would move the tank in and out of the carrier. I thought maybe you would put a dock on it and move it with one of your SV’s, like you moved you POI salvaging SV a few episodes ago.

Just turn the gravity generators off. If you turn off all nearby gravity generators, you get very slow vertical movement in space for free from the hovers and can move hovers between ships just fine.

Interesting, I haven’t played EGS in a long time, but put a lot of hours into it much earlier in it’s development, and am now just getting back to it, this series gave me the itch to play it again. When he did the walk through on the carrier I wondered how he would move the demon, but I assumed he’d hook it to the front of an SV like he did his little salvaging sled a few episodes back, as I hadn’t even imagined that it could be moved between CVs in space without using another ship to move it. Thanks for the info, although I doubt I’ll ever get far enough into the game to need to utilize it before an update breaks my saved game, or I get tired of playing again, although there is so much more to do, especially adding on Reforged Eden, than there was when I last played it seriously, so hopefully it will keep me interested for a good long time.

Turning off gravity will also prevent it from wanting to fall through space.

Go for Project Eden or Reforged Eden, vanilla is plain boring. I mean you can learn the basics of the game there, but in the end you will feel like you only wasted time there.
