I've been watching your videos for some time, on a variety of items, and just have to say your temperment for these sorts or repairs is wonderful. It's so helpful for everyone doing these same reapirs, and a valuable resource. It's also very soothing to watch you work!

Thanks for that! We always find it helpful to see how someone else approaches a job and enjoy watching what they get up to.

Coffee? That job needs some Yorkshire tea! Good work.

Haha cheers James, and tea probably would be more appropriate all things considered 😂

Thank you, I'm doing this exact job tomorrow, it was great to have a look at what to expect before I do, cheers.

Glad it helped. It isn't too bad a job, once you get into it. Good luck.

Great job!!! And no coffee was spilt during the making of this video!! : )

Cheers! Only thing spilled was a bit of brake fluid, so no big deal. 😂

I'm having the same issue of a soft brake, which a fresh brake bleed did not fix. I ordered a kit and may see about a braded line as well. By the way, I really like the shirt you wore in this video!! Brett from Florida, USA

I love that Tee, but it is getting a little threadbare now :( It's annoying when a disk brake doesn't stop as well as a drum, but just wait until it starts squeeking, that is an even bigger problem to solve.

Great job. You have a nice relaxed way of working which I enjoy. Also no desire to make the CB 750 look factory new which I like and retains the bikes history, warts and all. Thanks and keep up the good work

Thanks for the kind words Chris, I really appreciate that. I do prefer to resurrect bikes rather than restore them.

I hope you got the brake fluid of the tank!

I wiped it off between the shots after the surprise fountain! No damage done to the paint :)

Hi ,from Newzealand how critical is that silver split ring . My mastercylinder on my k5 didnt have 1 .
@SPANNERRASH2 жыл бұрын
No, it isn't critical. It makes sure the dust seal works better, but the master cylinder will work just fine without it. I suspect very little dust would get in there unless you are using the bike a lot in a harsh environment. I wouldn't worry about it if it was missing, but I would fit it if it was there. Hope that helps.

Same problem with my CB750. Did this fix the issue?
@SPANNERRASH2 жыл бұрын
The brake is nice and firm now. It solved the problem of virtually no power, but it still isn't as strong as a modern brake. I would really recommend using the braided line.
