I wish the people that don’t fight could really understand just how and why this is interesting. To have someone equally as skilled as you. There’s just so much that can’t be explained. You have to have experienced it to understand. As with anything in life.

I find also find it beneficial to spar someone better too. Show where your work ons need to be. I used to get shit scared sparring better fighters, but found out it was my confidence that was lacking. I wasn't as high level as these guys though 🤣

In the usa were i live they like light sparring except in southwest regions. The only hard part is humidity in gym. I think that strengthens cardio but dont help take heavy hits. The thing is some can still prevail and take heavy hits. The usa likes to water down so many aspects in kickboxing. The fact is though we fo have good mma guys though ground game though and you can avoid heavy hits with that.

what works for some doesn't always work for others this is just there style really not saying this is how someone should spar or anything we have a lot of sparring videos with different types of sparring some more muay thai based some technical some light some hard etc etc
@SandaBoxing

list the bad habits.
@Latimish
@Latimish 2 жыл бұрын
@@SandaBoxing sure, I'll list a few: 1) Overcommiting on shots Compromising their base when throwing 2) Dropping their hands when throwing 3) Not managing distance 4) Inefficient footwork 5) Improper weight transitions which also mean that their punches become less mechanically correct and therefore less powerful 6) more attack without being cognizant of whats coming back. It's either you're defending or attacking but really good fighters don't take with you.
@SandaBoxing
@SandaBoxing 2 жыл бұрын
@@Latimish (1) All of those bad habits listed are YOUR problems that should've been addressed while shadowboxing, pad work, bag work, etc. to maintain greater muscle memory. (2) Light sparring gives a false sense of security for certain risks vs rewards for certain techs that are way too risky; but works well in light sparring. (3) Hard sparring is the closest to the real thing (therefore, best), but it's not feasible to only spar hard or even often (let alone most of the time) so Light & Medium sparring should be the most. But Hard is still the best way to improve.
@Latimish
@Latimish 2 жыл бұрын
@@SandaBoxing see, you can't even tell me why its wrong. Those are not things that you just adress in shadowboxing because you need to be able to to these things on pads, while shadowboxing AND while sparring. If you're still smothering your shots then whats the purpose of hard sparring? If your sparring is too hard to retain those skills then it's not conducive to your training. I'd even say that hard sparring is what gives a false sense of security. Hiding behind you guard and compromising base isn't going to help you against a halfway decent fighter. Since I listed the issues, why don't you tell me how this sparring in the video helps? No bro science please

Wish people would stop promoting videos like this. Yes, these guys are adults, AND PROFESSIONALS. People watch vids like this and think they can do it too. They try and it almost always ends badly. ONLY PROFESSIONALS need to attempt this. If you walk into a gym, do not ask for this or think its what usually happens.
