Eh it's a pretty fair series to injest in a short amount of time. The best part about anime - at least not anime that exists to waste your time - is they episodes are less than 19 mins. You can easily finish S1 in a weekend. I still think Symphogear is in acquired taste territory but if you liked at least what you saw on screen here then its worth watching

Also I know you're being fictitious but that puritanism stuff can go in the trash. Watch it once. If you like it enough to watch it again then do it. Otherwise - especially if you're binging skip em. I love Nana Mizuki and subsquently some of Takagaki-san's stuff. That's...why I download the music and blast it whenever I want. I also download my episodes which mean I can watch them whenever I want. I can also just go to YT and watch the OP/ED

So yeah I agree that you can watch the OP/ED of a series if you like it, and if dont like it, then skip it (I do this with some animes, because one of my criteria to watch an anime is thst I like the Opening and/or Ending, so is more like a personal approach). But by all means, Symphogear's OPs and EDs are just too good to skip. Besides, most times the Ending blends with the plot at the end of the episodes really well ^^
