Love, Love, Love the Spark 2. My amp arrived about a week or so ago and it just Kills!! I also bought the Spark Cab. That thing is LOUD. I love the portability of the Spark 2 just like my Mini Spark. And I have the Spark 40 and the foot controller. Hey Positive Grid, you make great gear. Are you going to send me a W-2 at the end of the year? I got the Spark 2 and The Cab in Pearl and they are wonderful to look at and to use. I don't gig anymore and it's nice to have this light gear at home. Positive Grid is the best thing I have come across in over 40 years of playing guitar and bass.

Will there be a mini 2 with a looper?
@billsstudio25283 ай бұрын
I have the spark too, and a few looper pedals what I don’t like about the spark two is you cannot adjust the looper volume on the amp. You have to use the app.

I would really love to learn about how this new Spark 2 speaker is working with battery and stuff. I saw somewhere that you are supposed to be able to plug in a battery-pack to this speaker and play outside for example without power-supply but I can not find anyone speaking of this new (for this speaker) feature. Seems like a pretty big deal for nice 50W bluetooth amp like this but that may only be me that think of it as a big feature.

The only distortion I found was any good was the be. Can I ask what did you use .thank u

I cannot get it to work in my Spark edge. It brings me to my settings every time and I have given it all the permissions it needs. Not sure why it is not working.

can you loop without drums?

Where are stored rhythms ? In the Spark 2 or in the app ? Can app work offline without permanent wifi connection ?

How late in September is the second batch likely to ship? I'm going on a vacation and I'd love to take it with me.

I ordered mine in the second round and it was supposed to ship late September, but it is arriving September 3, so looks like they are ahead of schedule for shipping.

Positive Grid , does the CAB work with the Spark 2 and does the power plug in from the CAB work also?

Will the looper be available in the app for the 40? So the only difference would be the onboard amp feature?

Hej Positive Grid, would it be possible to control it with foot switch? If yes then I'm upgrading mine.

That would be sick!

Yes, they have a wireless foot switch that will also work with the first generation Spark, although without the looper feature.

Yes! Both loopers can be controlled with Spark Control X.

Can you get rid of the drums? Does it count you in? Does it quantize?
@bwedwards674 ай бұрын
Don’t like how drum library is presented. Would appreciate an update to change how they are labeled. Like ‘four on the floor Liverpool’. Some creative names to identify would be nice.

The looper is certainly a great add but i still have a couple of gripes. Namely the EQ to cut unwanted frequencies takes up the entire MOD block in the chain? So you can't even run wet fx outside of delay and reverb with the EQ on? And while i understand it's a practice amp, with your additional cab and other peripherals to reinforce its gigging potential, unless you plan on using the same 4 - 8 tones through an entire set, switching tones out to other channel presets is a chore for live settings. Heck even playing along with your favorite songs at home can get extremely tedious if you have to constantly swap tones out. Why not add a setlist or song feature where you can just set whatever tones you want to whatever setlist or song you want to play, tap a button and boom now you have a whole gamut of tones automatically assigned to the channels. Food for thought.

Men my wish was that they fixed this on spark 2 it was the only bump for me, not even the looper I wanted to use pedals freely like 2 delays and 2 distortions. Hopefully they fix this in the future
@ludek.smolik4 ай бұрын
@@crisolivares7847 I'm not sure if this is a software fix (maybe it is), it used to be a mechanical issue where the connector broke contact when inserted. This can be bypassed mechanically, but such modification is an intervention in the device. But I'm mainly worried that it wouldn't be the case that they made their work easier and that it wouldn't be a completely correctly separated line out. Anyway, this is completely wrong.

I’m trying to find a great tutorial on the new built in loopers. This is defiantly not it. If I could give Positive Grid one piece of advice is make tutorials that are as great as the products. Some of the videos are totally over stylized and some just breeze over the details. PG, help your customers become power users and they will become much better product disciples.

nice playing.

I'm pretty much a novice but my understanding is that the looper is only 60 seconds, can only do one "song" and that loop or song cannot be extracted. If this is correct how can it be described as a songwriting tool unless you only want to write and keep one idea? Would i need to mike up the speaker and record it to another device? Why couldn't it be stored on your phone via the app? Surely that's an easy option to implement.

This upgrade is absolutely great in every way except for one MAJOR FAIL!! Apparently plugging into the new stereo/mono line out mutes the internal speakers in the same way plugging in headphones does. This is gobsmackingly weird. I mentioned this to positive Grid who replied "this is the normal way amps with line outs operate". Um.... NO IT'S NOT!!!
@ludek.smolik4 ай бұрын
This is very bad news. I wanted to use the Spark 2 as a monitor on stage and send the signal through the line out to the mix. It's not possible! Line out doesn't turn off the speakers on any of my devices. Had I known this I would not have bought the Spark 2 as it is not suitable for my intended use. But it never occurred to me that such a thing would be possible. Big disappointment for me.
@donmiller-robinson13784 ай бұрын
Yes it’s incredibly weird they’ve done this with the line out! I’m hanging on to mine in the hope they will fix this in a firmware update. They would certainly sell many more of these great little amps if they fixed this problem!!
