Jesus, this is waaay too similar to Starlight Carnival! Honestly, that's not a bad thing! More or less, it's a great thing! The reason I said that is because of those humongous neon airships! And the neon road thing.

That is a long level, and that is how it should be! Speed games like this warrant large levels. I feel it really helps with the immersion. Great speedrun bro!

Like Starlight Carnival, Final Fortress and Final Rush all had a baby together. This level is so fun and fantastic!

Honestly didn't think of the starlight carnival comparison until you pointed it out. Was thinking more final rush, just without the glitchy (yet fun) rail mechanics.

Whatever this is, they should look back at the level design in Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors specifically and it will be apparent what they are missing here. For example there is no use for the camera here to show small cutscenes or rotate and focus on a different view to show you what is happening around you. The player easily gets lost of what they are doing or where are they even at.

I agree with Generations, but it's a hard disagree on Colors. Also, cutscenes?!? There aren't any cutscenes in this level or any automation compared to Sonic Generations or Colors. And the camera is manually controller 100% of the time, so I don't know what you're even talking about at this point.

@@MariusUrucu Please don't interpret "cutscene" as the game pauses and you are shown a movie. No, the cutscene am trying to convey is little camera work like for example after exiting a building you see part of a mountain and the camera moves upward while you are playing to show you how big the mountain is then it switches back to normal camera. There is none of that in this level.

@@TheNoblood12 I read the comment wrong, my bad. Now I understand. Still, I'm never bothered by this at all. In fact I really like it like this, since it reinforces that you're 100% in control. Plus you can blame this lack of more dynamic camera to 1 thing... This game was made by one person. This is such a superficial complaint it's kind of funny to me.

@@TheNoblood12 I understand the sentiment but in all honesty there's not enough happening in this level for the camera to automatically take another viewpoint and potentially disorient the player. I'm also more of an advocate for games letting you make your own spectacle, something robust controls and a great camera allows for.

@@TheNoblood12 So you wanna make it more cinematic? I can get that, but honestly, I never been a big fan of that in Sonic. I want to be in control of the camera. Maybe special moments like getting chased buy a whale is fine.

I remember medals being so unfairly hard that they reward (probably super fark) was basicly speedrunners only, well unless they are easyer in harder difficulties, but if that is the case then right now i still don't know that

Try messing about with the "Smooth Turning" option. I put mine to about 70% instead of 100% so I can make sharper turns without loosing speed.

I love this game, but this is probably the worst level in it. The opening with fark running towards the megaraph is cool, but he's way too slippery and made running on the light roads a nightmare. gotta admit tho, 2:01 that was epic

I actually vehemently disagree and I'd argue that this or Scaria Tropilis are actually the best levels in the game because of how many insane tricks you can pull and how little bullshit there is if you know what you're doing. The light roads leading to the first enemy section are rough but the rest can either be skipped with quick movement and careful playforming or work just fine. Also that climb sequence is rough until you learn you can parry EVERYTHING

I'd actually like to hear some of your suggestions. Yeah, the game can be messy, but I'd be lying if I say I didn't enjoy it.
