Dang the run is pretty cool,I can't even pass the level in this much minutes myself. Spark 3 is such a great improvement from Spark 2,because I had a blast playing this,controls here feel more tight and easier,the mini missions are cool aswell,and the fall damage mechanic just makes the game challenging,and I love it.I finished this game overall,and now I am playing it on Hardcore lol

Oh wow, nice run! I just beat the game and I'm gonna be trying to get all the medals soon myself. By the way, if you wanna save yourself a bit of headache running this level, Reaper's dash is invincible, so at parts like 1:50 you can just dash right through the hazards in that tube instead of maneuvering around them.

Penny's Big Breakaway as well, although that game isn't nearly as fast as these (but still, its speedrunning potential is crazy). Sonic Team just plain sucks. They haven't made anything truly great in eons.

LakeFeperd, the developer for Spark 3 is aware of this and is working to port the game to multiple systems but since they are a 1 person dev, it will cost time and money. They did try to port the game to Nintendo Switch but Nintendo rejected Spark 3 to be listed on their eshop for "quality reasons"

...idk man I'm sorry but this is not what old school 3D Sonic felt like, this is what olds school 3D Sonic SPEEDRUNNING felt like. In fact, yeah, that's actually exactly it, this level felt like it was designed from the ground up to specifically cater towards speedrunners, not casual Sonic fans. I genuinely got the impression that you just skipped over and flew past like 70% of the stuff that was in this level, and personally I don't like pushing the jump button once and suddenly I'm literally flying over almost everything in the stage. That's kinda overwhelming and yet also a little boring at the same time.

@@MariusUrucu ​ @Marius Urucu Where to start. Remember, this isn't to offend or anything, this is just my personal opinion... I felt like the Missions like, collect the coins, and the defeat the enemies, and get to the goal in the certain amount of time were just filler. They weren't unique. They were just mini stages to pad out the games length. I much preferred the stages in Spark 2 because each stage was it's own theme and this one just had a couple of themes with the mini stages as extensions of the stages. I didn't like the missions at all. I much prefer bigger stages. I also didn't like how messed up the map screen looked after getting all of the mini stages. It looked like a mess. I didn't find the stages to be all that interesting either. The only stage I really enjoyed was the Prison one. Spark 2 had a powerplant, a Snowy Jungle, Creepy Castle, a neat tower you had to run up to, a re-imagining of the fleet from Spark 1, a cool green space stage with crazy gadget (Sonic Adventure 2) like gimmicks to it, a beautiful night city.. But in this one, I didn't really see much inspiration in my opinion, it was mostly boring, like a space level, and an airport stage, I didn't find it at all interesting in comparison. I didn't find the music that appealing compared to Spark 2, but that might be preference. I didn't like the Fall Damage Mechanic. and I couldn't stand the stages that forced me to get in a car or flying vehicle. I also hated how in this game, it would force you to fight with enemies like ALL THE TIME. It would seal you off and to progress you have to beat all of the enemies and even Spark all leveled up and Upgrated, it still takes a while to beat the bigger enemies. Spark 2 had this as well but like only in like 2 stages, and this one had them in almost all of them. It really annoyed me more than anything. I liked the Jester powers in Spark 2, this one only has 1. And what was with the Tutorial stages being spread out like it was? I thought it was fine at the beginning of the game, but not telling me how to do fall damage recover in the second to last stage. I found most of the enemies in this game to be very much annoying, I guess I just didn't like this game very much. I really hate to be that person but I just didn't like it as much as I liked the 2nd one. All in all, I didn't enjoy this game very much. I was actually quite disappointed that LakeFeperd took a different approach with this game with all of the mini missions and such, Vehicles, and Fall Damage. It just wasn't what I was expecting from a sequel to a game I really enjoyed. Now, Spark 2 isn't a perfect game, but I do have like 70 hours clocked into that game because of how fun the stages are to speed run, but this one, I have about 8 hours in, and I'm about to finish it, and I think I won't touch it after I finish it because why would I play a game I didn't really enjoy? It felt more like a chore to play this game which is the opposite of what a game should feel like. Sorry for the long rant, but this is my honest opinion of Spark 3. Most people liked it, so that's good for them, But in my eyes it was a total disappointment. But remember, this is my opinion, no need to get your pitchforks and send me hate. This is just a random opinion in the big sea that is KZbin.

@@SuperChaosControl That's a totally fair opinion! Everyone experiences and enjoys different games in different ways depending on their personal expectations and tastes! Personally none of the stuff you noted bothered me. I liked the vehicle sections being skipable (you can do them on foot). I liked the level themes (overgrown prison with giant trees, city in the middle of a protest, futuristic planetarium, airport and plane, space station, gigantic hole with a city in and around it), I thought they were pretty awesome and original. I felt compelled to replay levels to get the diamond medals and found they all very fun to Speedrun, mastering the controls and all. I like the combat, it's just very fast-paced and fun to me, and there are also levels in which you can use your speed to jump around forced combat encounters and save time, which I found cool when I figured it out. I even 100%ed all medals which took me 28 hours (according to steam) on normal difficulty, and found it to be a blast, to the point where I'm considering a challenge jester run to get all achievements. With that said I haven't played Spark 2 yet, so I can't really compare. And I won't ever tell you that you're "wrong" for having these things bother you. Video games and art in general are not objectively good or bad. Their quality comes from each person's experience with them. It's a subjective thing that evolves through time. I'd say that you should maybe try to get more Speedrun medals. It might give you a different perspective and make you appreciate the game and its levels a bit more. In the meanwhile, you high esteem of Spark 2 just made me want to play it more! Hopefully I get the money and the right sale.

@@Kiwi-fl8te Though I will say, Spark 3's Stages like Protest Prison and Protest City were a little bit more polished than Spark 2's Stages in comparison, so I will admit to that since Spark 2's stages were more of a test run to see how the game would look and run in 3D. But that being said, Spark 3 just had more of what I didn't want and Spark 2 has a little bit more of what I do want. If I could change anything from Spark 2 it would be that the combat is worse than Spark 3, but you don't really need to use it as much in levels since it doesn't really seal you off as often in the stages. Where you will use combat is the Bosses. But I don't really replay those. The music was good in Spark 3, but in my opinion wasn't as memorable as Spark 2's. But again, this might be due to preference. As for the vehicles, I know you can skip going in a car, but it is just mindless running with no obstacles which isn't very fun to navigate through, so you just take the car to go a little faster I guess. I don't know if you can skip the flying vehicle section in Protest City though since you do need to destroy that big enemy at the end of the stage. If you are big into Devil May Cry and God of War Hack 'n Slash and Combos, then yes, you will enjoy Spark 3 over 2, but if you are wanting to go fast like Sonic and Shadow Stages in Sonic Adventure 2, Spark 3 has a few levels like that, but Spark 2, all of them were like that which is what I was looking for. But I think Lakefeperd took the Quantity over Quality approach Spark 3. Being there are the main stages, and a bunch of side stages. I think what would have made the game slightly better (In my opinion of course.) Is there are some short sub stages that I think that if he mixed them together to make an Act 2 of an Area, I much would have appreciated that instead of having a lot of sub levels that take like a minute to run to. The map just looks so messy with all of the unnecessary sub levels. Again, I know I am saying it a lot, but it has to be emphasized, THIS IS ONLY AN OPINION, not based off of fact. Just based off of my personal preference. PS: Try Spark 2 when you can, you might hate it or you might like it. Who knows.

​@@felixputz5190 it doesn't. The level design sucks. Maybe put him in a real sonic team designed level and then he'll be truly great, but spark level design is the biggest deal breaker. Copypasted blocky repetitive platforming alternated with free speed. The combination of speed and platforming is wrong, the abilities were the best in spark 1 and got worse afterwards and the combat is only better than frontiers for having a proper parry.
