I bet most people who bash this video can't even make a cup of coffee for themselves. Here's a guy who not only made his own tattoo but made the whole machine too. Note: I don't like tattoos and would never do one to myself but I admire your creativity and freedom to do whatever the hell you want with your body and be happy with it. Nick, fuck the trolls and keep on creating.

Your comment replies are A+. I like that the tattoo is big and mildly sloppy, it has a story, it has character.
@DarkmoonUK8 жыл бұрын
I have to say I agree; personally I don't go in for tattoos at all, but I think @FringineeringLabs can feel prouder of this, having done it with his own hand and equipment, than one that was professionally executed but meaningless. As you say, it has his own character throughout.

Very cool project. When I was at the South Pole in Antarctica, I was talking to an old Navy guy who told me that the tattoo was started as a simple cross on the body. He said back in the day when men were iron and ships were wood, if some thing happened and the ship sank or someone fell overboard, the "HOPE" was they'd be washed up on shore and the CROSS would be seen and whoever found them would know they were a Christian sailor and given a Christian burial, and to pay for it, every sailor had a gold earring that they never removed unless of course it was their funeral. Not sure how true all that is, but it sounded cool at the time. haha Keep up the great work.

Hey, I'm planning on to building this awesome 3D printed tattoo machine, such a cool project! But i'm wondering what kind of breadboard/print plate and what kind of solder cables did you used to connect everything in the driver case? Also what is that metal pin extension/contact part that is on the motor that connects the motor to the power cable? I have collected everything apart from these things and t I can't figure those things out unfortunately...... So really hoping that you could help me out! thanks in advance! kind regards, Noah :)

Well its not our arm. Its not our tattoo. We arent carrrying the piece around. Its his creation. Why the hell do people criticize him? He has total 100% conscious control over whats happening. Yes lines are wobbly, control isnt the best, and whatever ever the hell others things impact the work. People at the end of the day. He can do whatever the fuck he wants, with whatever he wants and has a clear mind at the end if the day. Give props for such an idea and balls for using it on you.

Awesome project Nick! As a friend, I've always been a fan of your passion on projects and not caring what the trolls say. You have a love of tattoos and doing things yourself. I think this would be cool to see a follow-up video where you take this project to different tattoo artists (amateur and professional) with varying styles to see what their outcomes and thoughts are. Looking forward to your next project!

I know people have been giving you a lot of flack in the comments, but seriously why do you do such a large area? Also, doing your other arm, you couldn't properly hold your skin still for straight lines. That should have been apparent from the start. I would have tried it out on the side of my calf or something. Sorry for more hate, it is a cool build. I might make one for fun.
@SignalDitch8 жыл бұрын
I lied a little in the video. That wasn't a maiden voyage, there's an 'X' on the inside of my calf where the real testing happened. The arm tattoo was just something I've always wanted to do (since I built my first prison-style machine in High School) and I'm really happy with how it went. Believe it or not, all the haters are just comments on a website, they might as well live in my cell phone, lol. They really don't impact my satisfaction. It doesn't hurt that I'm on vacation right now, either, lol

if you are a tattooist, you would know to use 2 hands to tattoo and straight lines and circles are the worse things to tattoo. so why the hell did you tattoo a straight line tattoo that large on your forearm with one hand....? when a top of a thigh is the best place to practice tattooing on yourself as you can use both hands and be able to control the machine with ease... humm
@jaredaleman22845 жыл бұрын

you can practice on pig skin i hear. But seriously everyone is getting so upset, but it's 2016 and its pretty easy to get ink removed now without any harm. It sounds like he put a lot of time into the project so maybe it was worth it to him personally to scribble on himself based on the hours he put towards getting to that point. If I had an easy way to get ink removed, (im sure he does) i would sketch on my self too.

Tattoo removal is expensive as hell and more painful than the original tattoo. A coverup artist is going to make a killing off this guy.

No kidding. I started reading some of the comments and thought what the heck, this is a video about building the gun, and showing that it works. It's not a video on how to do tats, but then again, most people these days, that are getting a public education, do not have the capacity to actually learn anything or even understand that they were watching a video that is showing them that it can be built and it does work. Plus he was using ONE hand. Oh well, the general I.Q. of most today, is one point above plant life.

You mean 3D printed tattoo machine FRAME :)) that could be made out of sticky tape with the same result... :D and by saying that the tattoo looks like a professional one except the shaky inconsistent lines (what in the world makes a professional tattoo if not just that?) ... But i guess you meant that in a professional hand would do the job just as well as a tattoo machine that is made with a totally different motor (in torque, speed etc), totally different stroke adjustments etc. Well you couldnt be more wrong, ignorant and disrespectfull towards the tatoo machine builders and companies !!
