Please do more! In school I learned what zero-pole and bode plots are and how to draw them, now I'm really interested in knowing how these can be used in the electronics field.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I've seen this stuff in the classroom but I always pick up something new when seeing it from a more practical side.

Excellent video! I have to disagree about most filters being active though. In my work as an EMC engineer I use passive filtering all the time, particularly to remove unwanted EMI on the input of switch-mode power supplies. This is to ensure the EMI does not affect other parts of the circuit or other external equipment

Excellent tutorial yet again! I would love to see more in-depth material in filter design. I'll start studying that Analog Devices Filtering 101 KZbin tutorial in the meantime.

Exam on this on Weds. I think you've made it interesting enough to enjoy revising. In a way, thank you for saving my degree! Now, if you could just touch on oscillators (Wien Bridge, etc) and power supplies before then too, I may be able to squeeze in some revision time for Microprocessor Design! Whew. Anyway, thanks again!

Great video! I'm trying to build a heart rate sensor, and the next thing I was about to look at was a filter. The timing couldn't have been better. I would love to see a deeper video if you're seriously considering creating one.

If I understand correctly, there's always a limit to the amplification (be it the op-amp, impedances across the circuit or whatever). Where it's infinity, it just means that you don't have to consider that component as limiting.

Very nice, learned a lot. Not more in depth, but more practical applications.

Thanks so much! As I asked 'under' another video (before I saw you actually made a video on filters) I would like to hear you on why we, audio geeks love the sound of inductor filters (like in old Neve consoles) particularly when boosting low frequencies. Is there any 2nd harmonic distortion happening or something? Maybe it's not the inductors but tha class A amps usually found in those old EQs..?

Thanks, this was helpful. I would like a sample - one would not kill your viewership much.... Thanks!

Do more please! What is a pole and zero? Ive heard it means when the transfer function goes to infinity or zero. But I dont see any places on your transfer function graph which were at zero or infinity. Does this mean your filter had no zeroes and no poles? Why would you need a transfer function that went to infinity, isnt that too much amplification!

just one question: the input for the active amplifier, shouldn`t it be on the negative side? and the positive input of the opamp shunted to the output?
