u right I watched the video and my problem with the big content creators is they were giving people the chance to be excited they were just leaking stuff and got early access to the game and that’s why I kinda get what the small content creators are saying they can’t show people. Sparkling zero content because they don’t have the game yet and the bigger content creators are just spoiling it and showing all this character gameplay it doesn’t give lesser content creators videos to make about their gameplay if consumers already seen this character game from bigger content creators and then these bigger content creators would be like just be creative and I’m sorry to tell u just being creative doesn’t make u a big or alright content creator back in their time yes now no

This sounds like raw entitlement. Look at Dotodoya for example lmao. He didn’t get DBFZ early, and he had to grind for a WHILE before he popped off. You have to have a personality, you have to be decent enough at the game to be entertaining, you have to be funny, and most importantly, you can’t just fly solo anymore. You need to collab with people who bounce off your energy. Doto pre and post three idiots is a completely different beast in terms of viewership and relevance in the community, but other people have collabed with both dino and Deion and haven’t popped off the way Doto did. It’s because his energy resonated with the people he collabed with, they didn’t just collab because “haha funny KZbin number”. If all you care about is “making it” so to speak, you’re not gonna make it unless you really know what the fuck you’re doing. If you’re just an average Joe doing this shit, you have to love what you’re doing and be willing to do it for zero dollars and exposure. That’s how you build authenticity to your name and that’s how you succeed in the KZbin space. None of these content creators are evil monopolies trying to put down every small competing startup. It’s only natural for the people at the top who are a guaranteed brand boost to get benefits from Bandai. For example, do you think a phone reviewer with 5k subs should get free phones just because giant tech channels with millions of subs do? We treat different people with different standards based on their experience, relevance, influence, and their relationship with us. The same goes for companies. Bandai already has a long standing relationship with these CCs, they already know they’re gonna promote the brand efficiently, and they already know how important their impressions on the game are to the overall level of hype in the community. If Dino, Deion and Doto just up and went “yeah sparking zero is ass. We dropping it after a week” what do you think that will do to the overall community sentiment about the game? And conversely, if they went “this is the hypest shit I’ve ever played. Peak incoming”, obviously it will move the community’s feelings around the product in a certain direction. But if some dude with 1k subs started shitting on the game or claimed it was hype, it’s literally nothing. Because they haven’t built that reputation yet. Because they don’t have the same outreach, and because the quality of said outreach is whack due to not building the same trust the larger CCs have with their communities. Most of us have been watching Dino and Deion for nearly a decade. I started watching Doto 1 month after his first upload. Of course my and many others’ opinions won’t be moved the same way by unknownshmuck_xx’s statements as they would by Dino’s. It’s not just how KZbin works, it’s how the entire world works.
@malekat8539
@malekat8539 Ай бұрын
@@AzureTears So, basically, the quality of content is not important in the YT space? It's purely about entertainment and character? That's what I got from you. The reason Doto mixed well with Deion and Dino is mainly because without Deion, Doto and Dino wouldn't have collabed. I do agree with you that you can't solo YT, but the problem with that is that you will most definitely not see a small-time creator collab with a big-time creator more times than not. You also have to realize that YT has seriously skyrocketed post 2020, so those creators took that opportunity and skyrocketed because of that. YT and otherwise social media is very much (going to use gamer talk here) luck-based, and not skill-based in terms of succeeding in it. I've seen content creators who are passionate about it and still not "make it" in YT. That should tell you how unreliable taking the YT route for profit is. You might as well learn trading at that point. Purely authenticity doesn't get you to be successful on YT or anywhere else on social media. Do you want examples of authenticity? Search up Solid Rev and see how long he's been doing YT. You need to put up a fake character that engages a young audience. You seriously underestimate how much luck goes into being a content creator online...

Its always those who haven't seen the grind that complain about bigger KZbinrs having access to things they don't. Everyone starts from somewhere. Rhymestyle literally had to build his fanbase up playing suck arena fighters such as J-Stars Vs. But the thing people appreciated about him was his personality and catchphrases. Not to mention he started a group called the Squad who would grow with him. And last but certainly not least he did it without making constant clickbaiting. Which at least 1 person/complainer in this video has been doing since the reveal of Sparking Zero. If we're gonna complain about big youtubers getting the game early then what does that say about me? Lol I've also covered the game extensively. But my channel isn't Dragon Ball adjacent like Rhymestyle and others. You simply have to grind and bring something interesting to the table.

@@snafu_art This argument is stupid tho, literally no where else in business can a company complain about apple being to big and taking all the people who have an interest in high tech phones. Apple spent years building a brand and identity that attracts people in the first place. KZbin is a business and if you don't approach it like that then you are gonna be disappointed if its something you take seriously. These bigger youtubers get their chances with these companies to get games early because they have built a brand with a large number of people taking interest, bandai essentially sees that as advertisement in itself. If you dont have the reach they are looking for you cant complain when others who do get chances you don't thats just not how business works. What brings people consistently to a channel can vary but the biggest factor is personality. All these big youtubers have built a personality that people resonate with, if your content is unable to resonate with people outside of releasing footage for a game that isn't already out, you already lost in that regard. Be entertaining and eventually you will build a following, adapt as needed as the market changes and you will get there. But whining and complaining about how unfair it is doesn't change the reality you are in.

One of the main issues I see with smaller creators is that doing it for passion has been lost. Now I do understand that KZbin can be lucrative if you are successful, but what people have to understand is that once you stop doing KZbin as a side project, it becomes a business. This is important to note because running a business is not easy, and just like any irl business it requires a lot of luck and knowledge. If you go into KZbin as a job but have no knowledge of how to work a business, the only way you can make it is by luck and constantly grinding. On top of that, you WILL get overtaken and overshadowed by people who know business and know about the importance of upload consistency, promoting on multiple platforms, playing into trends, smart market decisions, etc. If you are doing KZbin for money you have to expect failure, just like any other business.

People need to focus on themselves. If one person is successful, then it's fine, you'll get there too. Focus on your craft and carve out something unique that no one else has. When you start comparing yourself to others and worrying too much about what they have going on, it's going to kill your drive and make you feel envious. Being successful takes time, dedication, patience, and a level of humility. You will not be successful overnight.

I did not watch the whole video, but i assume the problem is that rhyme got exclusive footage of the game, whereas a smaller creater did not get the same treatment. If this is not correct, just correct me if i am wrong. I honestly was fine that rhyme got the exclusive gameplay because the dude has been grinding for years. If anyone remembered him playing the very first xenoverse game, he never got exclusive gameplay for the game when he was a smaller creator. Would it be nice if smaller creators could get the game early? Yes, but at the same time, we also have to understand it from a companies perspective. Would you rather have a larger creator promoting your game or a smaller creator promoting your game? Which person can give it the most exposure? Well, it would be the larger creator. Not only that, it was better to have somebody big from the dragonball community to play the game earlier than somebody like ign imo. Him, afro, doto, seareax when it comes to dragonball content i go to them. Plus, people are using his footage to hype the community up, and it is not like he is copyright striking people or even tiktok accounts using his gameplay. I dont know. i see things from a different perspective, and i never thought it was an issue. If a smaller creator wants to have benefits, then they should continue grinding and work on their brand so they can get opportunities just like rhyme.

Why not start with the custom story mode, then elaborate on it with your own fan-fiction that fleshes out the custom story you just made? The mindset that you need to be first or early to get the most success is such a defeater mindset. I get the allure but literally as a content creator YOU ARE YOUR BRAND. Youll maybe get a couple thousands views from people that wanna see it but that doesnt mean your doing good or that the people that viewed your content will continue. You see this all the time on say twitch where a moder might unlock a dlc character early. They get the initial crowd but that crowd IMEDITELY leaves the moment the creator they actually wanna see goes live. People have always hated about review copies or people getting a game early. Theres some grinder right now probably PISSED that these CC got the game early and can head start the grind. If you gonna grow you gonna grow regardless of what other people do. I think the point is why don't bigger content creators go out of their way (when they can of course) to give smaller channels some shine instead of being stuck in the same circles gatekeeping bottom line and acting like they aren't knowing how hard the grind is and helping others not have to suffer when all they really need is a little exposure some just don't have social media and I don't blame them. Just because someone says something that sounds right you have to actually take the time to research and see if it's really applicable to the situation at hand but that would take time and people would rather just listen and go along so they don't have to waste time doing research. People hate for no reason they're lost but when something bothers you it's either a complete lie or has some truth. Hopefully this explanation helps some.

For small content creators, I think the big ticket to getting bigger is collaborations and groups. Stop thinking in terms of "oh let me get this content out before the others" because that's fruitless. Connect with other small creators and collab. Reaction to gamelplay together. Do multi-player stuff together. My favorite KZbinrs are usually a group of friends playing games or watching movies together. Because they love it and like doing it with the group. Vanoss Crew, Three Idiots, RDC, fucking Rett and Link, HarmNone crew, the thing that makes me more likely to watch and enjoy are the group of friends playing games together. in any space you most figure out how to stand out. usually it comes down to 3 things a person can leverage to increases probability of success. experience, wealth, know the right people, or time. experience allows you to move correctly to increase success chances. wealth allows you to pay people to make up for other areas you lack. knowing the right people can give you exp faster and they can also push you in the right direction. in the world sometimes success comes down to who you know. and time. if a person sacrifice time from other things, they can increase success. whether thats less sleep, not hanging with friends, cutting time spent outside of the craft. anyone has the opportunity to build something if they understand this.

Every one of you guys have taken time out of your lives to make media and art that all of us can find a place in. And I think it’s one part of the title “Content Creator” that doesn’t sit right with me. Not to get pretentious or glaze, but AfroSenju is a fucking artist at his editing and is proud to be him. That goes for so many others like Cory, Etika, and other channels I watched over the years. If you’re creating things and think you have it all figured out in your head, then you’ve lost the point in why people build a following and community in their own way. It’s because we appreciate and value their creativity, art, media, voice, and passion. Everyone loves DBZ. Maybe stop defining your life around one thing and actual build a relationship to exploring the way you see things. I feel like these small creators are mostly in it for exclusive content, early access to the game, and the money. They think they could be the bext big thing without realizing that the top content creators didn't start out with Dragon Ball content. I looked at Rhyme's oldest videos and they were all Skyrim video that had decent amount of views because Skyrim was popular around that time. Once made Dragon Ball content, it didn't gain as many views as his Skyrim content but he kept making more and more videos and those views have gotten bigger. It took him awhile, but he became a big Dragon Ball content creator with some other games he makes videos out of because he likes them. Yugioh is a good example when Master Duel releases and EVERYONE was enjoying the game. He still does, even through Master Duel has dwindled in popularity. Rhyme just made content if stuff he enjoyed. It was bever about the money or the early access to games. Same can be said to other bigger content creators. It's a shame smaller content creators nowadays seem to only be in it to be popular and gifted stuff. That's not what it's all about.

Wanted to weigh in here. I'm not really a fighting content creator at all-I don't play fighting games, I just like Dragon Ball Z-but I did want to talk about the subject because this is something that, as a creator who's starting to transition from small to medium-ish, I want to weigh in on. I can pull anywhere from 700,000 to 1.6 million views a month, so I'm not the biggest, but I get decent numbers relative to my size. I can definitely understand where smaller creators are coming from because, as a creator who really likes to give good information and present content in a meaningful way, being able to do so two weeks in advance is actually pretty big. I think a lot of people don't realize it's not about playing the game-it's about getting good information before the launch to give to players. At least for me, when I have two weeks in advance to really refine what I'm saying and absorb the information from playing, it's easier for me to provide better information to the people watching. In a lot of cases, when smaller creators get the game at the same time as everyone else, their knowledge is significantly lower than someone who got it two weeks earlier, usually the bigger creators. As a result, they rush to try to keep up because they want to grow, as they should be allowed to. Since they feel rushed, a lot of times the information can be wrong. They get overwhelmed and overworked, and they can’t afford editors like bigger creators. They usually have a full-time job outside of KZbin, unlike their bigger counterparts, and it just becomes a mess. Now, I will say I’ve noticed a trend where the majority of bigger creators who get key access early started a long time ago. That's not to undermine their efforts, but KZbin 10 years ago is significantly different from what it is for newer creators who started one or two years ago, who are upset about this. While I’m significantly more connected now and rarely have problems getting keys early, I experienced this firsthand. A creator with 160,000 subs would post here and there, and I would outperform his views by 10 to 20 times a month, posting consistently about a game. I would reach out to a dev team to get a key and get ignored. A week later, I’d look at that guy's channel-someone who hasn’t really been posting, who hasn’t taken posting seriously-and he’d have a key because of the sheer size of his channel. Yes, I exist in the real world, but it doesn’t feel good, especially when you're doing a lot more work and see a lot fewer results. Obviously, this isn’t the case for all small creators, but I will say I do think it's much harder now to grow a brand than it was 10 years ago. Back then, you could clickbait, competition was significantly less stiff, and most people weren’t as knowledgeable. My recommendation to smaller creators who are experiencing this is to interact more with people and network-ideally, reach out to devs and community managers. While a lot of your bigger counterparts will just be handed keys and early access to things, unfortunately, you will have to put the work in to be on equal footing. There are a lot of creator programs that help smaller creators out so they can be on equal footing, but I recommend just being very proactive ahead of time because you are not equal to a bigger creator, even if your content is objectively better. That’s just how KZbin is, which is sad, but yeah. Some people might say that getting early access won’t impact your views, but as someone who went from getting most of my games at the same time as everyone else last year, to this year usually getting games three weeks in advance (due to the work I put in to make that happen), I’ve seen significant growth, way less stress making content, and I’ve been able to present much better information overall. So the impact for me has been pretty noticeable when I got things early, and I don’t think anyone can argue that getting things early doesn’t give you an advantage. Anyway, those are my thoughts on the whole subject. I think everyone should be treated equally-I don’t think that’s a crazy statement. But in the grand scheme, it doesn’t matter because ultimately, bigger creators tend to have way more pull due to their size, so they’re still going to have an advantage
@makaisaiyan
@makaisaiyan Ай бұрын
i liked what you said about pulling more views consistently and still get ignored but a bigger creator who gets less can get the game. This imo would be the best of example of content creation being unfair. however its like you said, even if your content is better, you still gotta work harder
@aboudyonduty
@aboudyonduty Ай бұрын
If the big KZbinrs were given that opportunity to have early access content how is that their fault? Ofc it makes it harder for the smaller creators to compete but that’s only if the smaller creators have no identity. If you put love and effort into your work and dive completely in to the content creation scene then I think you’ll be successful fast. I’d love to go for it but I know currently I can’t put my heart into it. Videos are more than speaking about a game or just playing it. You can’t build a KZbin channel on this alone.

@@makaisaiyan right, and a lot of the bigger youtubers have tried to uplift the smaller ones by saying now is the time to make content. Content Ideas for sparking zero such as: Complete walkthrough of story with all what ifs and endings, custom battle tutorial, item metas, character metas/ tier list, straight up goofing around and role playing, pro tips, and tournaments. I'm sure that this game is where community matters the most.

As a small creator, this mfs dumb as hell. Go grind like the rest of us. This isnt about "luck" or "big creators hogging everything" people like Seereax, Lotus Asakura, Doto, Nano, etc. worked their asses off to get where they are. You need a good personality, editing skills, and the DRIVE and love for it to keep pushing. Ive been doing this stuff for 11 years, and i only got my first little jump when I took this year to take it completely seriously and have an upload schedule and practice editing styles. Stuff takes time, complaining wont get you to the top and itll just hurt you if u sit back and whine.

My issue with smaller content creators is that the bigger content creators grind it to get to where they are now it may have not been in the same era as you, but they’ve grind it when you people were probably in the high school in middle school watching them. What makes you think that they don’t deserve special treatment? Grind enough to get to that point. In my honest opinion it just seems like smaller content creators are just completely salty.

The main issue is that is devs gave out copies that have nearly everything, if 60% of the roster was not in this build and they could only play player vs cpu, 90% of the problems in this community is solved. People are upset that most of the game is out there and that they have no chance, this is an issue with over inflation of content more than anything.

I see both points. I’m a small creator but I feel like some people are overreacting LONG TERM wise. Right now I definitely understand why ppl can be mad but after this month like president rose said everyone is on their own. The million dollar question is why would someone watch your videos over the bigger creators? Simple answer: Be different/CREATIVE with your edits and videos invest in a camera show your personality and stream and you HAVE to WORK. Most smaller creators literally quit even after they get traction..I feel like you can even show your personality through editing.. the others are add ons. Yes it’s annoying that they got it earlier but it’s not really the fact that they got it early, it’s the fact that they got it 3 weeks earlier rather than 2-3 days.

For footage copy-paste, for early trials for some youtubers, for the amount of real life events across the country. With next big game, they gonna be more skeptical, so less events, less people would try the next game, more copyrights for the footage
