it's so rare to find someone who has heard of this band. I'm 16 and this is my favorite band for about a year now, and a lot of the sounds or effects that inspires me in mark's songs I have used and will use in my own songs, even though I know i probably will never be as talented as he was. If I ever do get some fame though I will talk about him as my idol, and i mean that. Such a strong man and talented musician. RIP Mark. 🙏🙏

I first heard about Mark (Sparklehorse) when I told a friend about the Vic Chesnutt show I'd seen the night before. Weird that the two later became friends and Mark did a cover of one of Vic's songs on the Sweet Relief "Gravity Of The Situation" album.

Dude.. to be so young and aware of good music these days is rare. Music that has substance is hard to find anymore.. glad you've found it. Mark is a gem most don't know. So is Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon. (I suspect you know that already tho..)

i dunno when i first listened to mark, but i know that the song was "weird sisters", from my fave album until now.. i thought i (living in a small town from a small state in brazil) would never find someone that liked or even knew sparklehorse.. but in 2014 when i was 14.. i found a classmate girl.. later i discovered that a lot of people here in brazil like sparklehorse very much.. if you search for an full album of covers of sparklehorse, you'll find a great indie brazilian band with an entire album in homage to mark/sparklehorse.. cool huh

Hearing Mark laugh on Maggie Mae caused me to burst into tears. No other musicians death effected me in the way that Marks did. I miss him so damn much. I have felt a special sort of kinship with him ever since my 12 year old ears were blessed by It's A Wonderful Life for the first time.
